  • Thanks a lot for that bit of information. I may go and buy 1 for my wife, then she will knw the difference between straight over the roundabout and the 2nd exit, which is more often than not the same thing. By my experience, medion is usually a good brand. They sell loads of items in Aldi with 3 year warranties, so if this has a 3 year warranty at tesco you can throw it away after 3 years, if it breaks down-surely you've had your 60 quids worth. Good luck getting 1 though!!!

  • Gosh how this thread grew yesterday!

So anyway i was just wondering if these are worth getting hold of or if the TOMTOM ONE system on Amazon (as posted on hot Uk deals ) is a more sound investment.

I have no clue whatsoever about SAT NAV but would like to have one :p
Might help stop those "navigation arguements" when I tell my DH where to go..:rotfl: :rotfl:

    Any advice appreciated

    Hi all!

I was just wondering whether or not this sale is nationwide as I called up two stores in Leicester and one in Batley (W. Yorks) and they either didn't have them at that price or didn't have them at all.

    Cheers!

Yes. Excellent value for your money. Well better than the cheaper SatNavs (apart from the possibly the Garmin i3).
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

Whilst this one is unlikely to be much good for me, can anyone recommend one that will suffice?

I need Euro mapping, reliable and ideally TMC. My local shop says the Garmin Nuvi 350 (I think) would be best. Bluetooth would be nice but not essential.

    Cheers

Not quite in the sub £100 price range but as it has been mentioned.. I bought the TomTome one Europe a couple of weeks back, for a trip to France and Switzerland. It is an excellent system, I paid £215 from Comet, though there was a company called pentagongps from Sheffield (I Think) who had it for £200 inc delivery, I needed at very short notice so had to pay the extra. Anyway full Europe maps down to street level, did not let me down once. Very easy to work and plenty of functions available..a point to note though, it states that 'in the box' an SD card is supplied, it is not as all maps are already loaded. You can buy an SD card for any extras you would want. Don't need bluetooth and other gizmo's, so for a basic system it can't be beat. In my opinion!
