They broke their contract with me when they failed to deliver in accordance with their website information.

When they know they cannot deliver because they have no stock they should say so - then I have the option of shopping elsewhere or waiting. To leave me in the dark is bad business practice.

Whether the tickets are for this year, next year, or the year after makes no difference. An agreement is an agreement - when they 'changed the rules' they should have told me.

7-10 days DOES NOT mean 4 weeks and still no tickets nor info!
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

    Maybe communciation issues

That seems to summerise the saga quite nicely :T but will the company take it on board?

TBH perhaps the money should not have been taken quite so fast, not everyone has a 'never mind, it'll all be fine in the end' approach to their finances, £500 isn't small change. Put the boot on the other foot, if OP was able to cancel payment after receipt of tickets, would this company have accepted "I'll send payment when I've got it, not sure when that will be but it's guaranteed"? Somehow I doubt that.

All's well that ends well. Everyone enjoy your hols.

I've been to Florida 3 times (twice in the past 3 years) and I'm going again this September. I Can honestly say I've never had a problem with Travel Republic. I don't use them for everything but I do always check their offers and prices as they are very competitive. I have booked flights and hotels all over Europe and the USA with them as well as attraction tickets and they have always delivered. Their prices are usually better than most others as well.

I can sort of see your point and I agree with others there was lack of communication from their side however I think common sense and a bit of leniency is the main issue here. You can't use them till 2013, whats the problem waiting for a bit. In all the time I've looked at Disney tickets I have never not come across the 14 days for 7 days deal. Every ticket place does it and always have. If it was me I'd have contacted them waited for their response to say they are awaiting stock and quite simply would have accepted their apology.

Seriously can't see a reason for such a "livid" rant on here, but maybe I'm just a bit more laid back.

i've never had a problem with travel republic. used them for tickets for a few attractions and had no trouble. when we went tenerife used them for the siam/loro park and they were cheapest by far and i even ordered them 4 days before we travelled and they arrived the next day.

also i have always been told that if the company you book the tickets/ exscursions from was to go bust then you would lose everything so i would never risk buying anything like that so early. i would leave it til about a month or 2 before.
