Why don't you just post the video on Youtube and let the rest of us decide?

Going through a red light when its just turned red is not particularly dangerous. There is always a small lag between that happening and the next light turning green. In addition if the bus driver could see the other routes he may have spotted it was clear,
Its against the law but its only your opinion that what he did was dangerous.
If you are that bothered about this then take it to the police. Afterall it is their job.
I don't believe you should be comparing this to Afghanistan. For one thing there are probably around 40 million drivers in the UK, versus say at most 10,000 troops at a time in Afghanistan? A car is a dangerous machine and even the most careful drivers can have serious road accidents,
I somewhat agree with you. It wasn't particularly dangerous in this case but that doesn't make it right.
My opinion of Arriva drivers reached rock bottom when they twice tried to kill me; I was on a bike.0 -

I've seen far more cyclists deliberately going through red lights (not just turned to red either) than bus drivers. I'm sure you have too...how many have you reported?0 -
The video certainly seems to show the bus running a red light. This is about an individual driver though, not Arriva overall. If I think of the company I work for I can imagine that some of my colleagues would be absolute idiots behind the wheel, and some would exhibit exemplary driving skills like myself
. I am sure that Arriva will come back to you shortly having suggested to the driver that next time they may want to think about stopping at a red. I can't imagine the police are likely to go for a prosecution based on 3rd party evidence, and I can't imagine the driver will be sacked for one oversight. Can anyone here say that they never ever ever make errors while driving, or in their job, as in this case?

This wasn't a war between motorists and cyclists. I'm not sure why you brought it up unless you want to start one.
Yes, many cyclists do jump red lights (which I personally think is suicidal). I don't tar every motorists with the same brush so why do you do the same?
If this was a cyclist courier (with an easy identifiable company logo), I would have done the same and reported the cyclist to the company. It's not always easy to report every offence but in this case this was a professional driver, who should know better!0 -

I don't want a prosecution in this case (that's one of the reasons I didn't report this to the Police). You are right, I don't want this driver to get sacked either. Maybe telling him/her "what you did was wrong" would be enough for me
I agree everyone makes mistakes and we need to learn from themI've made tons and learnt from them (that's what made me a better cyclist/driver).
I also agree about not all employees of a company being the same. But my opinion of Arriva (as a company not the employees) isn't going to improve if they don't respond to my emails. In fact, I've emailed them on 28th of June.
p.s. you wouldn't blame me for my opinion of Arriva reaching rock bottom after one of their drivers did this to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40-YdG-_EhE0 -
I think that the OP is absolutely right to report this incident and I applaud them for that. The UK has a poor road safety record for non-motorised users in comparison to other European countries and we all play a part in that. Professional drivers especially should do better. I have also emailed bus companies when I have seen examples of bad driving such as speeding, dangerous overtaking or parking on the pavement. And of course improving road safety would save us all money!0
