Saw Arriva bus run red lights!

First, apologies if I posted this on the wrong thread (mods please feel free to move this to the correct thread if required)
Several days back I saw one of Arriva buses go through a red light. I had video evidence of the incident. Basically, the driver was an amber gambler but when he approached the stop line, the light turned red. The driver drove through the red light.
Therefore, I've emailed the PA to engineering and operations director (Leicester) as well as PA to regional managing director but I didn't get any reply from either of them. They are just fobbing me off. I didn't report it to the Police as it's a lot of hassle (we don't have RoadSafe or similar schemes in Leicester).
In my experience, I've seen a lot of awful Arriva bus drivers in Leicester and it seems Arriva isn't doing enough to train their drivers properly. Who I should report this to take this further? I reckon they aren't taking health and safety seriously. Can I report this incident to Health and Safety Executive or the Traffic Commissioner? Would they be interested in this incident?

I remember some years back a police spokesman saying they only prosecuted drivers who jumped a camera monitored red light more than 2.5 seconds after they had turned red. "Otherwise we'd be prosecuting everyone".
I was disgusted. It effectively meant that the police were complicit in a dangerous law breaking. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Haven't you got anything better to do?
I'm just doing my bit. Seriously, I don't want to hear that the dangerous driver I didn't report ended up killing someone. I have a moral obligation to report dangerous drivers. Do you know many more people in British roads die in road collisions than military personnel in Afghanistan? Do you think that's acceptable?0 -
You will not get a response in a "couple of days". They will ask the driver about the incident and make no further comment about the matter to you.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

422 British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the start of hostilities in 2002.
In 2008 alone (last year I can find figures) 642 people died falling down stairs.
Therefore should we ban buildings that have more than 1 floor ?0 -
Would you rather the drIver slam on his brakes at the last minute and give half his passengers whiplash? At the stop line he hasn't got much room left to stop.0

Why don't you just post the video on Youtube and let the rest of us decide?:footie:

Amber means stop actually (unless it's unsafe to do so). I didn't make this up but it's in the Highway Code. This wasn't the case in this incident. I wish there was a way to upload the video to this thread.

I'm happy as long as they take some kind of action.

But it isn't someone else's fault when someone falls down the stairs. I reckon, many deaths resulting from car crashes are preventable. What really gets to me is when someone else dies when the other driver was at fault.0 -
Going through a red light when its just turned red is not particularly dangerous. There is always a small lag between that happening and the next light turning green. In addition if the bus driver could see the other routes he may have spotted it was clear,
Its against the law but its only your opinion that what he did was dangerous.
If you are that bothered about this then take it to the police. Afterall it is their job.
I don't believe you should be comparing this to Afghanistan. For one thing there are probably around 40 million drivers in the UK, versus say at most 10,000 troops at a time in Afghanistan? A car is a dangerous machine and even the most careful drivers can have serious road accidents,This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
