Can you delete emails on your mobile?
I understand that any/all mobiles can 'read' emails from any type of account - but few mobiles can actually 'write' back to the email server (delete and edit emails) - Not sure but I think thats what 'Push email' is
Works great on my Blackberry - but just ordered HTC Desire C (android)
Question is simple really
Can you delete emails on your mobile? and is this then reflected on (written back to) the server?
Slightly harder
Can you add/edit appointments on your calander and are these reflected on the server (Gmail, Live, Yahoo, etc)?
Can you edit/delete Contacts, and is this reflected on the server?

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

Android is Google`s own operating system so phones are designed to integrate with perfectly with Gmail. Mail deleted on the phone will be deleted on the server, read mail will also be marked read at the server.
Likewise Google calendars can be updated from computer or phone and the phone will will always stay in sync
Android phones can display contacts from the SIM, phone memory and from the gmail contacts list, for contacts to be updated on the server you must make sure the contacts program is set to use Google contacts rather than SIM or phone memory.
If you use Facebook, HTC Sense can link the two contact lists adding profile pictures and showing feed updates for your contacts.
For other providers mail should work fine if they support IMAP but calendar and contacts may not work so well.

I'm able to delete emails on my Gmail and Yahoo accounts using my android phone. I've never tried to edit the calendar.0

Yes to all your questions, changes on the phone are propagated to the servers for email, calendar and contacts.0

What server do you use? Gmail? Hotmail?
I mainly use Live.co.uk so interested whether it will work thatWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
Just had a quick trial run and added an old hotmail account to my HTC Desire S, it should work in a similar way to Live mail.
Using exchange activesync in the accounts and sync section to add the account I was able to send and receive mail, my calendar and contacts also synchronised perfectly.
