  • I've had a few important things go missing too, come to think of it. Was sent a letter from my university (an hour away) for an induction day when I first started. I recieved it the day after the induction day.

And the other day I recieved a bill dated Feb 27th. Thankfully the date to pay hadn't passed yet.

I would say the bill arriving late has more to do with the company posting the bill than royal mail. I used to work for a courier co that allowed 7 days credit on their invoices and the inv date was the shipping date, by the time we got the paperwork in accounts & had raised the invoices and got them in the post they were normally at least 10 days past the actual date on the invoice.

Also my catalogue statement always arrives 2 weeks after it is dated, again I think this is down to the Catalogue not RM.
  • OK, I stand corrected and I won't blame RM for that one ;)

    Update.

I received a phone call today, from a rather nice lady, who I think was the area manager at the main Leeds sorting office, and I have given her further information regarding the missing post, which may be of benefit to the investigation. She told me that my mail, upon posting,is handled by the Leeds office, before it reaches Tyneside.

I also told her about my sister, who lives about 1/4 of a mile from my Mother, who has had a birthday card with a £50 cheque go missing, which was for her son,my nephew, and this was posted in Preston, and guess which the final delivery office is?????? Yes,you've guessed, the same one that handles my Mother's post.

    Coincedental?????

    We shall see..

I'll post back once she has contacted me further.

    Ken.
