Morning all,
Pink, sorry you had a bad weekend, hope things get better and you enjoy seeing your DS and nieces.
Jackie, sounds like you all had fun yesterday.
nmlc- know exactly where you are coming fromI don't know what came over him yesterday but DH tidied all the kitchen and washed all the pots and pans from tea(and there were a lot:D)without me saying a word.Had to laugh though,he came upstairs this morning specially to ask if I'd messed up the breadboard after he'd cleaned it.When I said no,he went off to ask DS(the culprit-late night snack)then came back in to tell me who did it.I was beautifully restrained and just said 'hmmm, annoying isn't it?':rotfl:I don't know how many times in a day I clean the breadboard, its certainly more than once in a blue moon
Tea is already in the slow cooker, beef and some mini chorizos,so I've plenty of time to get on with things.Decided yesterday to have some people round next Sunday as its DS2s 30th the Tuesday after-apparently he has plans for the weekend after. It'll make me clean and tidy,I'm better at doing it if I know people are coming. He has asked his ex,she says DGD can come for the afternoon,so hopefully it'll be the first time the babies will be all together(my 2 brothers are Grandads now,the 3 of us all became grandparents within a year)The youngest is only 3 months ,but apparently weighs nearly as much as DGD at 9mths.Mind you he did weigh over 10lb at birth, and his Mum is nearly 6'.So I'm going to be a busy bee,and I'd better get on with it:rotfl:
Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Evening all
Marie - have a fab time!!!
I've had a lovely day. My friend's little one is almost 1 year old, and such a joy to be with! We had a cuppa at their house, then went out for lunch, then back to theirs for a couple of hours of playtime! My friend is 5 months pregnant with number 2, and suffering a bit - she is very tired and has probs with her hips, so she was glad that the 2 of us entertained the little one all day. I'm shattered now though! :rotfl:
Quick freezer meal for tea then flop on sofa.

Pink-winged, sorry to here about your bad luck. Hope your ds feels better.
Marie, hope you have a wonderful time in Perth. Enjoy your time with you dd.
Can anybody help, do you have to fry frying steak or can i cook it like braising steak? We don't have beef very often so i don't want to ruin it. I feel a bit daft asking that as i have been cooking for years so you would think i should know. Oh well, never too old to learn.Thankyou in advance.
Dd hasn't been at school today, she is full of cold. I doubt she will go tomorrow either.
Hubby is at work now until the morning so i am going to relax tonight and watch some telly. I don't sit and watch the telly very often unless there is something in particular that catches my eye.
Hope everyone has a good evening and hugs to those who need them.

Evening all
Hugs to PW, I did the same thing when I was 4 & you can still see the scar 56 years later, mind you mine wasn't stitched as my mum was hospital phobic.
We were up at 5:30 as hubby is on split shift, he went home at 11:30 & back at 3:30 'til 10ish, I'm knackered, he must be worse.
I had to empty 4 cupboards today, meant I shifted 500 reams of paper, my wrists are like wet spagettie now.
I'm having beans on toast for tea, can't be bothered to cook just for me.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester
