sell everything you can, go through the whole house.
£3 car tax for 2 cars? im £3 per month for my car, havent included hubby's as he pays it out the part of his salary he keeps for his essentials
think of selling your shares? yeah, if i go down the DAS route i've been advised my littlewoods & next debts will probably be the problem ones, as they would be receiving such a low £ per month they will be the last to agree and drag it out so if i *could*i should clear them
if holiday means you will incrue more debt cancel it, even if you lose your deposit. yep thanks

Maybe a call to the national debtline could signpost? - they cover Scotland

Or even a nosey around their webpage might help?0 -
Can you explain the family loan? Excluding that loan you are actually in manageable situation. You should not owe more than you earn. You earn £41,700 per year and excluding the £14,000 of debt which cannot be included in a DMP you owe £51,406 which isn't too bad considering your good equity in your property.
I can but it sickens me to explain it, 3 years ago my mum noticed we were always skint and offered me a loan to pay off my 2 high rate credit cards, and just to pay back whenever, of course i ran these cards up again - i honestly detest myself for this, ive spoken to her about it and she says she doesnt want it for the forseeable future0 -
yes - im trying not to let my desperation make me jump into this! i just want to be dealing with it but i dont want to regret signing up to something
keep trying cab but do what you can yourself for now, get those letters typed and sent tomorrow, offer them what you can afford. Keep copies of your letters, 1. so you can rsend should they say no and 2. so cab etc can see what youve done so far.
have you got a spare file knocking about? if so grab yourself some dividers and a hole punch. Label each divider with who you owe, set out a page for each with amount owed, payments, apr etc and then use this to document the dates of your correspondance. All incoming mail should be actioned and filed under the relevant tab. You are going to have to be organised so you .dont get in a tizz with it.
hope this helpsLittlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

does cccs not cover Scotland, maybe they wouls be able to put you in the right direction, really hope you get it sorted, youve made the hardest move and thats by having the lighbulb moment.
You take care xx
I think they do cover Scotland but not for a debt arrangement scheme.
To be honest my head is all over the place so i probably better make a list and call round and take notes so i remember.
I cant thank you all enough for how nice you are being, it really feels like the end of the world at the moment. I feel like i've f***ed up my kids future squandering money on shoes, techie crap and god only knows what else... I'm normally pretty upbeat but feeling extraordinarily low at the moment, i just want those of you who have replied to know it means an awful lot that you have taken the time.0 -

he knows some, not all, he keeps back about £500 and pays £200 to his credit card (£3400) he also buys the kids clothes and stuff, i see his bank statements and he is really frugal (unlike me) and the rest goes on petrol, haircuts, toiletries, groceries & extra payments to his credit card (we spend a LOT on groceries, i know we could cut back there)
I know he knows its a mess, ive asked him to let me find a solution and we will talk it over then, ive discussed the DAS (we are about to seperate bank accounts so his credit wont be affected)
He doesnt deserve this0
