Hi, does anyone know of the currently cheapest dongle that includes bamdwidth that is NOT a 12 month contract please?
It's for my son who has moved out of the student halls into shared accommodation but there is only him there for over two months. I don't want him signing any 12 month contracts, just something that is a monthly contract at, until everyone else moves in then they can sort out a proper broadband contrac between them.

Ovivo and Samba are certainly getting a lot of press at the moment. Only issue with them specifically is that it depends if one doesn't mind 'Selling part of ones soul' to get it and relevant to any Dongle solution is, will the signal, speed, data allowance permit you do do what you want with it. That being a daily net solution. i.e watching video, playing games (you'd go mad trying that, me thinks), or even streaming audio come to that.
Other options, in terms of no contract/short term solution. Yes, including mobile broadband via dongles.
Try the following.
Equally, bear in mind that he will still require a TV licence if he ever intends going near anything, resembling live UK TV programs...
Check the following. They're specifically of interest to students and anybody else who doesn't want 'tie in'.

But the most important factor is what networks he can get a decent 3G signal on at the property. The cheapest deal around will be of no benefit if there is no signal.
That's the first thing to check before you start comparing prices. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
O2 have given me a free dongle with 1GB data for a tenner, then added another GB for free as I have a few services with them. Thanks for the advice all.
Ukduty - they are considering taking the Virgin BB, so thanks for the link“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0
