Hi all,
I don't have a smartphone, OH has his data roaming permanently switched off on his contract smartphone as he doesn't use his phone for internet use at all.
However, DD has just got a new smartphone (from Carphone Warehouse so is unlocked). We got a Vodafone sim with it and £10 credit, which gives her free 300 texts and 500mb of web access for 30 days.
She doesn't use her phone for calls much at all so this tariff seems to suit her needs - but can we get it cheaper per month? I don't really want her on a contract, she's still at school and muggins here would get stuck with any hefty bills

Yes you can get it cheaper. If you pay £5 to Ovivo you can get a SIM that comes with 200 minutes 200 texts and 500Mb of internet each month for an ongoing monthly cost of ZERO.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
