Gosh too hard to use common sense?
If you pay min payment then by yours 5.00 will be took by DD on 9/7/12
since you said you pay full amount DD Date will be the same but amount will be owed amount which is also shown on statement..
There is nothing missing. Payment amount for min payers/ DD Date and payment owed for full payers is all there...
I don't like how you say they don't show and tell you when they clearly do you just fail to use common knowledge.
Hmmm, I recently requested to switched from paying the minimum amount by DD to paying the full amount by DD. There's no indication on the statement informing me which will be taken.
I did receive a written confirmation of my request from Vanquis, it contained this:
As you can see it's a bit vague because it doesn't specify whether they will take the minimum or full payment. It's a standard letter they send out to customers who change any of their DD details.
As we know from other poster's experiences we can only be sure what amount will be taken by DD and when it will be taken if the details are specified on the statement.
Also, the "Payment due date" isn't necessarily the date the DD will be taken.0 -

If it it states Payment due: 16th July
Then the DD is taken on the 13th July
Nice try, however the payment due data on my last statement is 9th July. Today's the 7th July and the money is still sat in my bank account.0 -
Maybe 3 days before is for the usual payers?
I pay a set amount before due date to cover costs and then that's why it says 0.00 due but it obviously also uses the DD feature on due date.. I have never let it just take the DD incase it's late as i heard a lot about Vanquis having late DD taken and charging for it.
So, Vanquis informs you they will take £0.00 by Direct Debit from your bank account, but then go and take some money anyway?
Perhaps now you, and others, are beginning to understand why Vanquis' method of informing customers about when and for how much a Direct Debit will be is wrong.
Every other company I deal with clearly display on my statements how much will be taken by DD and when it will happen. Vanquis doesn't do this.0 -

clearly you have never read.
Say my min payment is 10.00
My paper bill says 10.00 and so does EVanquis.
If i pay 10.00 or more my amount owing is 0.00 according to Evanquis BUT No matter what they still take the DD like they were instructed. Nothing unusual. Cap one and others do it too...
I get paper and EVanquis and pay a little for it. Only the paper shows the APR not Evanquis.0 -
OK thanks for that, it explains why my APR's aren't listed then. Not that it matters really as I always pay it in full. Daren't do anything else really at the price of carrying a balance!0

I understand how their system works.
My point is that they don't tell you how much they will take by DD from your bank account or when they will take it.
I also understand that you fail to understand the point I'm making. However, earlier you wrote this, which backs it up:I pay a set amount before due date to cover costs and then that's why it says 0.00 due but it obviously also uses the DD feature on due date.. I have never let it just take the DD incase it's late as i heard a lot about Vanquis having late DD taken and charging for it.
You settle your Vanquis statement manually because you don't trust them to take payment by DD as requested.
Other companies I pay by DD use phrases such as these on their statements:
"We will collect £34.56 on or around 8/7/12"
and
"Your Direct Debit payment of £145.69 will be taken on or within 3 working days of 18/07/12."
With these other companies it's clear how much will be taken by DD and when. Unlike you, I don't have to faff around making manual payments because I worry they will get it wrong.
If for some reason these payments are not made it's not my fault, unless I have insufficient funds in my bank account to cover them of course.0 -

My Payment due date is the same as yours and mine has been taken today and is always taken 3 days before the due date.
A advisor has just told me that they do this to ensure no complications arise with payment on the due date as a safety measure.
I have taken pictures of my bank statement and evanquis due date info to prove it, but can't work out how to insert them into this post.0 -

I always make a payment equal to the minimum amount a week before the payment due date. A couple of days later my account states a £0.00 payment to be made.
They will still take out the original minimum payment on the payment due date also as scheduled.
Minimum payment = £25.00
My payment a week before due date = £25.00
Minimum Payment after my payment is made = £0.00
Payment taken on due date (In my case 3 days b4 due date) = £25.00
Advisor told me that they take payment 3 days before as it stops any charges if complications occur on the due date. If payment for some reason can not be made 3 days before, then they will try 2 days before and then if 1 day before, then on the due day itself. This gives you a 3 day window to ensure the money is in your account and that no charges will occur if your payment did not go through on the payment date.0
