Vanquis has updated its eVanquis online service.
It appears that users can now download a copy of their paper statement.
They've also added a new link to the menu on the left:
Financial difficulty: "If you are finding it difficult to make your payments at the moment, please let us know by sending us a message..."
I note their online service still doesn't give notification of when a DD will be taken or how much it will be for. Is this also the case for paper statements? By not providing this notification they are in breach of the Direct Debit Guarantee.

I have a Vanquis Credit Card and when I log in to view my statement each month it clearly displays my payment due date along with how much is due i.e. minimum due as thatis what the Direct Debit is setup for.
These are both located in the bottom-left of the eStatement screen which should be viewable to you.Current Debt
Barclays Student Overdraft £3,000 [£3,000 limit - £7 monthly fee, 0% interest]
Nationwide Overdraft £145 [£150 limit 19.9% interest]
Barclaycard £2,990 [£4,000 limit - 0% interest until April 14]
Vanquis £1,331.96 [£3,000 limit - 39.9%APR)
Capital One £50 [STRIKE]£81.54 [/STRIKE][£200 limit - 27.9%APR)0 -
An improvement without doubt and not before time, however I do have one point that still could do with addressing by them.......
If you receive online statements (can't comment for paper) there is absolutely nowhere either on the statement or on the online account view that states the amount of the APR on your account.
I thought this information should be on the statements by law?
If you want to know what your APR is you have to write to them, ring them or check your original agreement. All my other cards either have it on the online statement or on the paper one.
Or am I missing it?0 -
How comes you say it doesn't show DD Date when mine does?
YOUR NEXT STATEMENT
Next statement date 19 Jul 12

My statement clearly has a box at bottom saying

Like this?
It doesn't say what amount will be taken by Direct Debit.
The balance on my last statement is £82.39 and should be paid by Direct Debit in full. I don't see any notification of that.0 -

That's very naughty of you. You've added the "// DD DATE" bit yourself.
eVanquis does not inform customers when a DD will be taken or how much it will be for.0 -

Gosh too hard to use common sense?
If you pay min payment then by yours 5.00 will be took by DD on 9/7/12
since you said you pay full amount DD Date will be the same but amount will be owed amount which is also shown on statement..
There is nothing missing. Payment amount for min payers/ DD Date and payment owed for full payers is all there...
I don't like how you say they don't show and tell you when they clearly do you just fail to use common knowledge.0 -

The DD is taken out 3 days before this payment due date.
If it it states Payment due: 16th July
Then the DD is taken on the 13th July0 -

That's strange. My DD is taken always on the Payment due date..
I can scan statements and bank statements showing due date and DD Date and they always match. Not 3 days before or anything like that..
Yes it doesn't reach my Vanquis until 3 days after payment due date but the payment date is always the day they took it not the day it got there.0 -

Strange.
My payment have always been taken out 3 days prior to the payment due date.
I always check my bank account 3 days prior and the DD payment has always been taken\subtracted from my account.
It is applied to my vanquis account 3 days later, on the due date specified.
On another note, My Aqua account always takes the DD on the due date specified and not 3 days earlier.0 -
Maybe 3 days before is for the usual payers?
I pay a set amount before due date to cover costs and then that's why it says 0.00 due but it obviously also uses the DD feature on due date.. I have never let it just take the DD incase it's late as i heard a lot about Vanquis having late DD taken and charging for it.0
