nmlc and breathe, there you feel a lot better for that now don't you
It is good to blow your top sometimes and it makes you appreciated a bit more hopefully.
I have just put a small line of washing on the line as its sunny at the moment and a bit breezy so fingers crossed it will get a bit of a blow.
Then I amabout to start my marathon baking session as my cake tins are almost empty DD is coming for coffee later this afternoon so i will make her a fruit cake to take home and I promised my youngest DD a coffee cake and I want to make some twinks for the grandchildren and a quiche and a tray bake for me so that should take care of the rest of the morning. This afternoon I shall be feet up with a cuppa and my knitting nattering to my eldest DD,Tomorrow if the weather isn't too bad Dd and the tribe and I are going off to Mersea Island. We were supposed to go last week-end but the weather wasn't great so we went to Westgate instead. We will take a picnic anyway and the boys fishing nets and have a wander along the beach.
Right time to get a wriggle on and start greasing and lining my cake tins then on with the bake-up.
Hope everyone has a great day whatever they are doing
Take care all

nmlc: Try this.....
*Open a new file on your computer.
*Entitle it "Housework."
*Place it in the Recycle Bin.
*Empty the Recycle Bin.
*Your computer will ask you,"Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"
Answer "YES" and click the left mouse button firmly.
Doesn't that feel better?
Now find your OH, pick up the sledgehammer and......................
Filthy day, isn't it? Decided to spend the day catching up on ironing - 'hope springs eternal in the human breast' and all that. Haven't started yet but maybe this afternoon?
Lunch is HM quiche and salad that we would have had yesterday if we hadn't gone out. Dripped my way round the Farmer's Market this a.m. and bought eggs and carrots and 2 doughnuts.
Tonight will be something resurrected from the fridge.
May call in here again later if I need a distraction.
Happy weekend everyone.I believe that friends are quiet angels

nmlc sorry i missed your post as I was at work , I hope you are feeling better, I think alot of us here truly know how you are feeling , I certainly do , am in the process of de cluttering ( all DHs paperwork from years ago , says he still needs it , hes retiring in a fortnight :cool: ) its like perpetually banging your head on a brick wall.
be strong and make sure you do factor some me time in every day , and feel free to vent on here any time x
back from work now and walked into an absolute pit  DD1 was at work too so nothing had been done , DD2 and DH sat watching tele . I have cleaned , dusted and hoovered the downstairs and stairs , done 3 loads of washing , cleaned the kitchen, decluttered a cupboard, made lunch , washed it up , without either one actually moving at all!
DD2 is now cleaning her room ( smallest room in the house , but its like the forth bridge , she never seems to get it done before its a s bad and needs doing again)
the sun is out at the moment , hopefully my washing will dry :j
going to sit out if its warm enough and read :-)0 -
Hugs to all, especially those who could be flooded. It is very soggy here, and the nearby beck is very full, but I don't think we will be at risk.
nmlc - you have had a stressful time and then you get rubbish like that - not fair! I was once so annoyed with OH that I went out and threw a mug at the garden wall. I would have felt much better if I hadn't missed. lots of hugs.
First thing I put on a wash of whites. It is mainly little bear's school shirts, which need industrial attention, really, which is normal for five. I put it on the extra long wash but at 30 degrees, as I believe the most energy a washer uses is on heating the water. I also put in lots of Ariel in wash boost - so long wash with extra chemicals, ideal for what little bear has happened to. Only once I had started the machine off did I notice the grey sock. I said some rude words and evil cat blushed. I am about to go and investigate.
For the first time in years I went to a supermarket for the stuff I would need for the week instead of ordering online. It was a very odd feeling, and I managed not to impulse buy too much. I am really only on here to update the Grocery challenge. I indulged in an illicit cookbook - 100 meals with mince. I am going to try one tonight, which is a layer of batter, a layer of mince with a little onion, and then a layer of batter. If it is any good I will share.
Little bear asked if there were dinosaurs in heaven. I said that if there were dinosaurs in heaven then they would all be friendly. OH helpfully said that the velociraptor would lie down with the apatasaurus. I changed the subject.
I also got six more school shirts for little bear at a cost of £9.60. As far as little bear is concerned, life is for living and gosh darn the shirts. These should keep him going until Christmas (growth spurt permitting) with the other ones that are already veterans. They are M&S and so stand up to the rigours better than most, but little bear is five. Trousers and sweaters seem to have a slightly longer life.
So normal for here. Once again, hugs to allAnkh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Sneeks in
Hello all
I have been in hospital for the last ten days, it turned out that I had a nasty case of cellulitis and ended up on a drip of antibiotics to clear it, no wonder I felt so rough. I am feeling a lot better now though and have a lot to catch up on.
DH went to his Aunt's funeral yesterday and he said it was packed, it is nice to know that she was so well thought of, she was a lovely lady.
I blew the iron yesterday so we went and got a new one this morning and just got back before the heavens opened.
Great to see Andy Murray through to the final of Wimbledon:j :T:j I could hardly watch, the family knew he had won when I screamed

Afternoon all
Flutterby thanks for the celery soup recipe it was delicious. The dill made all the difference.
Decorating today in the Gintot household as the plaster in our bedroom has dried. DH and DS are on the second white mist coat. So there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Made a quick trip out to get some shopping and I was horrified that a tin of mixed beans in tomato sauce now costs 64p. Not long since they were about 44p! Have planned to make mixed bean curry or chilli tonight and had used my last tin. Obviously should have bought more when they were cheaper.
BB my goodness! hope you feel better soon.
Oh wait a minute-it has stopped raining!
Anyway hugs and kind thoughts to all.
Have a good rest of the day.

Dilly's here!:T:j
She came running in the front door, with her little tail wagging.:D We've been out for a walk as far as the poo-bin (she doesn't want to go far these days) in between the showers; luckily she doesn't mind when she gets walked, as long as she goes at some time, and she knows she can ask to pop out to the garden whenever she needs to.:o The walk did take a while though, as we had to stop and investigate just about every single blade of grass on the way!:D
BB you poor thing; glad you're feeling better. Do they know what caused it?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
