I've never online shopped here for the simple reason they charge a delivery fee but also the prices are dearer online than in the shop itself. I presume that's how our supermarkets pay for picking and packing.

Oh fuddle, be brave without tea. It might turn out not to be the tea at all. I can have about 3-4 cups a day with no trouble. Coffee isn't allowed for me. And peppermint tea would be murder.

I'm sitting here feeling very weird....

I actually like butter beans :o and celeriac :o and celery :o

I remember butter beans in school dinner stew and they were the best bit (mind you, that was not hard!).

Lovely sunny day here but a perishing cold wind whipping off the harbour.

Hope you are feeling a bit better GQ, kiddly problems are dead uncomfortable and make you feel like rat$hit.

Sorry about the tea fuddle, but look at it this way,you will be preserving your tea stash!

    Preserving my tea stash :rotfl:

I've been thinking about the upping the online grocery price report and it doesn't make sense when you look at Tesco's new idea.

I think (remembering here so don't quote me) you pay £36 up front for 3 months. You can shop as often as you like but you must spend the minimum of £40 but don't pay for delivery.

That to me sounds like a money maker for tesco's who obviously (imo) are not bothered by how much it costs to get it delivered. If it really costs £20 per delivery then someone has got their sums wrong ;)

I wouldn't touch that deal I have to say. I shop once a month and hope to get it delivered for £3.50

  • You're not alone Mrs Chip - I'll come and sit in the corner with you as they are all on my yum list - I love Potato Daupinoise done with half potato and half celeriac. Had a lovely morning with just my little man as his sister is at nursery, OH was off last week which while very nice means that this is the first chance me and DS have had to have a chilling morning on our own.

Ok must go and get the stuff together to go and collect DD.

Report your findings ;) I've currently a loaf in the oven MrsC, I'm trying a loaf from the soft bread buns recipe you shared. It's huge, hope it tastes ok and the texture isn't too fluffy.

We have just had burgers for lunch (we have our main meal at this time on work days) and they were fab - so for the purpose intended I will not mess with the recipe (even being a day old, and left out all night, they were perfect toasted).

I will fiddle for bread rolls though, I am searching for a recipe to recreate the most delicious rolls I ever had - when I was a kid we used to go to Morthoe in Devon and there was a tiny bakers who made the most perfect bread rolls. With ham from the butchers next door, we had them for lunch every day. Finding them will be my madeleine moment!

Hope you don't end up with a bread-monster fuddle!
