Not fully caught up yet - fell asleep at midnight and that was me till gone midday - me sleep over 12hrs without once waking, unheard of as I usually am lying there to tired to move but cannot sleep or pain to bad to sleep but last night pure sleep - so why do I still feel tired, but hubby just left me and as soon as he heard me get up to go to bathroom was up with a cuppa - he is trying, he has realised he has let his selfish lazy ways go to far again so at least gives me a chance to find some balance again.........

Fuddle my dear old chum, don't you be put off from doing crafts, yes you can buy 3 pairs of socks for a quid in Mr A but have you see not just the quality but the yarn, no-one would consider where those more than a few months as they wouldn't last anyway, we have become a throw away society and no more so in the clothes dept - years ago people made their own and they chose the best long lasting material, which then I admit was cheaper than it is now. Yes you could have knitted yourself a pair of leg warmers for a pound if you want cheap nasty yarn the same as those cheap O socks in Mr A are made from, but your leg warmers are made from yarn that is you go and buy in the shops will cost so much more.

If you go to high end stores and have a look among their hand knitted goodies you will see that they know they can sell them at ridiculously large amounts of dosh. Most of us plebs only buy from normal high street stores ( can a cs be considered a normal high street store:rotfl: where hand knitted items are just to expensive to be sold, so ordinary mortals think why should I bother knitting this or that when I can buy it for far less, they just don't compare the quality at all and many machine knitted items craftily are made to appear hand knitted.

You do it because you enjoy it and you are learning crafts that you never know you might need in the future - if all the doom mongers get it right and world economy goes bang then if you can make your families clothes you are automatically one step ahead of many and if it doesn't then you are enjoying your hobby and getting good quality clothes that you totally love in the process.

I have decided to put the products away just now as I literally find my mind shy away when I look at them as I just do not know if I would use them or should sell them, my best friend told me to her it sounds as if I feel I am not good enough to use such things on and I guess she is right, it seems a waste for me to use them, so into the cupboard they will go for a bit - well not the body scrubs, I like them and although £35 each I can at least get my head round those prices and I will enjoy using them, will let you know what I decide over the others, just must make sure I don't on purpose, deliberately but sub-consciously forget about them till past their use by dates - maybe set up a monthly alarm on phone so I don't forget..........

Right better get out of this pit and see if can get downstairs as am hungry, could call hubby and ask him to do me a bowl of cereal but I hate asking for help I know then I moan about him, could do with a few of the instant pain meds but I like to keep them for days like yesterday so can get out, if I take them to often body will get used to them, so will see slow release are just beginning to kick in a bit.

So onward and upwards, oh yes must tell hubby we need to go and collect bubble wrap, someone on freecycle has offered a lot and letting me have it.....

Hugs, Love and healing to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fuddle I'm sure I've met the lady from Shilasdair once at a yarn thing. She might be on Ravelry as well. Sock wool is tough, warm, and washes forever. Handknitted socks will last forever as they can be darned until there's more darn than hole :) I gave my daughter a pair one xmas and regretted it - cos now she wont wear anything else and keeps asking for more :) If you're on Ravelry then look in stashes for sale - I've had some lovely stuff really cheap.
Re vitamins, I just eat what I like and take a good quality multi-vit every day - I like to keeo it simple lol !

I once got skewered by a LOOK from a snooty saleslady in an Edinburgh tourist type shop in the Royal Mile. I was having hysterics about handknitted sweaters priced at £120 - and this was years ago when I could have knitted them for £16 !:eek::eek:

Pops have you got s.u.n? :D A refreshing sight!

I wanted to ask all those who have had anti-D's, is it possible to still get down periods? I'm on day 3 of just head shakeably lost lust for life, I'm down, I'm pathetic, I'm cross and snappy and feel teary. It's like I was never on anti-D's. I slept for 11 hours and feel poorly too, I now have the kids' sickness.

What happened to making your own to save money? I guess society evolves. Sometimes I feel it's not for the better though[/QUOTE]

It was a lovely morning Fuddle but the last few hours it's been dull. The sun seems to be coming back buit there are some black clouds in the sky. It seems to have rained most of the night...again.

I think it's possible to feel as you suggest even if on Anti-D's and sometimes something can cause a relapse, hopefully you'll pick up again, sooner rather than later. Perhaps you need a different medication? Or a different approach from those looking after you...Have a hugemo35.gif

And I agree about the cost of making your own. Its fun if you can make something, a sense of achievement but sometimes you can't make something cheaper than purchased.

That happens to me regarding food, even though I like baking, for one person it's not always worth it. But if there was an emergency it might be handy to know what to do.

Hi, a few steadying vibes would be appreciated. Am hoping that the small business I work for can survive direct competition from a shiny new business opening this summer.:( Heard something this morning that made me a little wobbly and am endeavouring to get back on track.

Another hug is in orderemo35.gif The same thing happens here...our town is small but you get two businesses that are similar and they often open virtually next door to each other...

One of the panel was a nurse who works at my GP's practice - the two practices are merging - and she has given me a couple of smear tests, so it didn't help that I was thinking, "Oh great, I'm being interviewed by someone who's looked up my ..... !" She came out to collect me from the waiting room and said, "Oh hello, it's you!" and "I'll have to tell the other panel members that I know you." I was thinking, "Well you don't really know me, you've only looked up my doodah a couple of times .....":rotfl:

I am a bit worried because this was advertised as a part-time job, but they said they wanted the job to grow and would I be OK if it ended up full-time.

Funny but true what you say, how's that the same as knowing you? On the other hand she has seen you away from an interview situation and can put the two things together. Possibly giving a more rounded picture of you.

Why can't they(unless it's the cost of training)turn the job into two so another person has a job there. But the provison would be there that if someone was ill or away on holiday the other one could cover.

If I was forced to work(I am unwell healthwise)and anything is possible with the new plans coming in...I would only want part time...I probably would need the rest of the week to recover from working and to be ready to start again. I try to go out daily and might seem ok but when I come home I usually need to iie down for a bit.

As for applying well, it's something to show the Job Centre...

Sending good vibes to those who need them over jobs on the line, oh I wish I could help.

If anyone has a discountuk store they have seen in passing I would say pop in as its got some good stuff at great prices - as mentioned yesterday roasting bags 10 for £1 and really good size. Its just a shame for me its in city - but what does it tell you about market forces if a big discount store is sitting on prime site in city centre and it was busy, very busy. Hubby is trying to come up with a cheap way for us to go there again in future without having to pay horrendous car parking fees or a fortune in bus fares, as if we had to then that offsets the savings although one or two items I have not managed to get locally at at end price. The place has its website on the bags but according to a forum people have been trying to get onto the website since early 2011 and it says same as it does now, coming soon so looks like they just like the idea of showing website name than actually having one in use, also on the forum someone mentioned they had found that the website was actually owned by poundland, so they and others presumes this shop is poundland runs stores but opened so they can sell other things than they are restricted to in their pound shops........I found things I buy in my 99p all for 99p which was so handy as I needed to go to mine to buy a few blue bandages as I had used the ones I had for Sophie for her dressing and no sure how they wash, as they had them for 99p. Will get the others washed and see if they still stick to themselves. They still work fine now but as her wound seeped right though cannot use them again without washing them.

Oh gosh what is going on, yesterday I was one of the ones hit by O2 problems yet hubbys phone was fine, and now just checked my cc and the balance and statements are unavailable was going to top up my phone but I presume if they cannot give me balance ( cc is prepay) then most likely will not be able to use card. Problems seem to be happening to firms more and more often these days.......

Yeah Mar I'm on Ravelry, will search :)

thank you for the link kittie some more reading for me tonight when the girls are in bed and the DH is out fishing.

pah you were so excited when you posted about your loot last night. Don't ever feel you're not worthy of it. It cost you nothing at all. If you want to sell it then no problem but I think deep down you would like to use most of it but the guilt of using such expensive stuff it eating you up. pah hun, whatever has gone into those creams, whatever extraction methods have been used to make such a quality product will be more appreciated by your good self than some multi millionaire wifey. I think by you using the product, you're treating the product - not the other way round ;) Don't do a me and spin a really good thing into a really negative thing or cause yourself another problem or grief. Use 'em girl ;)

short-bird I'm really sorry you're going through a tough time and your world is quivvering a bit. I hope everything is ok.

Thanks for the the texere yarn mention. I have bought some 100% lambs wool yarn, multi coloured with some double pointed needles. DH is spending 2 days away on a conference next week so it will be my company once the kids go to bed. Looking forward to using some good quality, wacky yarn for a change. You've all persuaded me to go with it... now off to ravelry and secretly hope I don't find mar's stash for sale because I'll be in trouble off the boss if I succome! ;)

smiley well done for getting through it and with a sense of humour. Did your shorter hair question come up? You were honest. They'll appreciate that and know that they did advertise part-time.
