  • aw ((((Pooky)))) only had one many eons ago but had me flat on my back for week, I woke up thinking I was paralysed, apart from pain so dr and nurses came to house to do the tests, now they would just bundle you into an ambulance to get them done at hospital, so my heart and healing thoughts are with you.

Welll done GQ and Parents for getting so much done, want to come up my way to do my field, I am trying to get energy to dig it over before winter but not got any yet. You have have to take photos next year of your lottie when its full of edibles.

Typical tomorrow is supposed to be our hottest day yet but hubbys bowls season starts so he will be down south all day. I might if I can force myself take me,scooter and baby out for a little ride, maybe by fields see how crops are doing as no tractors as yet going past as usually do so maybe not harvesting yet, or they have changed their route.

There are also a couple of Geocaches within half a mile of me that are wheelchair friendly so scooter should manage it and been wanting to see what they contain for years.

So on that note I will say night night in hope can wake up less clumsy and with a bit of umph tomorrow. Last night put light off at 8.30pm and was still asleep at 2am so hoping better luck tonight.

Hugs and Love to all xxxx

Thanks to the op about the pork, we got some today and it is all cut down and in the freezer.
I have had vouchers every time I've shopped at mr s for the last few weeks so had free shopping. I got another £6 off a £40 shop for next week. I've been stocking up on tins and all sorts of other stuff.

While in mr m I went round checking prices and most of the things I buy are several pennies dearer than mr s. I knew there was a reason I didn't go in there much even though I love the quality of some of their goods. I just buy what I need from there and leave quickly normally.

I've been busy sorting out my downstairs understairs pantry. I've only done the lower half and it has taken hours but I have thrown out loads of rubbish that I am not even going to bother taking to cs as it is not good enough. I now have a lovely tidy clean space and will carry on and do the rest tomorrow. I left defrosting the tall freezer that is in there for another time because that will take a day to do.

dh is now sulking because i forgot to get milk out of the freezer last night and he's had to have black coffee when he got up

Is he not capable of taking it out of the freezer? ;) My OH is like that - I leave him in charge of tea but he won't get anything out of the freezer so we end up with something and chips. He can't seem to get the "plan ahead" thing at all.

Well that was the easiest baby sitting in the world. Niece and nephew were no trouble - DS played with them on his X Box and then they went to bed! Unheard of. I am now waiting up for their mother to get home - dirty stop out. I wish I'd given her a key....

    .

What? you mean he should actually do something for himself?????:rotfl:
No, he's pretty good really. He works very long hours on the night shift which would be enough to make anyone grumpy. we're trying to pay stuff off and save for flights to visit family again next year so he takes any/all overtime on offer. this month for example, on top of a 40wk he's done a total of 120hrs ot:eek: (he's also getting it all in now because it tends to dry up over winter and we're still not sure, with the merger, that his job is safe)

the problem with that is, we rarely see him. the girls get up as he gets home in the morning and he makes their brekkie and spends an hr with them before school.
he seems to think i do nothing all day though. it's not as if i do the school runs, go to work or do the allotment or cook tea or do my cleaning job or any housework or play with the girls or help with homework or sort the pets out or iron uniforms or....

oh wait, i do do all that. and he wonders why the house isn't completely spotless all the time and i sometimes forget to fill the kettle or get the milk out:p

edit: just read that back and it makes me sound like a right moaner! i'm not, really ;)

I know what you mean. As part of my job I have taken students abroad on study visits. The first one I did, a few years ago, he told my mum that he didn't realise how much I did until I didn't do it.

Anyone know what to do with the bean from a runner bean? some of mine are getting tough now but they have nice juicy beans in them. Can I save them for next years runners? How?

yes, definitely save them. leave them somewhere to dry out then store in an airtight container (l&l, clean jamjar etc) and sow again next year. actually better to leave them on plant to dry i find, but fine if you've alreadyt picked them x

Please stop talking about the good weather - I am sobbing my wee cold grey heart oot up here :(:(:( Forecast is rain spreading from the west (again!)
When are we going to hear what the govt has planned next for us? Will the party conferences be revealing/worth listening to?
I'm beginning to know how they felt during the war - I feel like we're under seige but it's not the nazis its the tories :D I actually had a dream the other night that I was on a train with somebody else, dono who she was but I was warning her that there were nazis on the train and we had to be really really careful as these people were very very nasty. I blame you lot and your !!!!!! gossiping. :rotfl:
  • Someone on the 'Politics Show' last Sunday said 88% of cuts are still to come & that the next item under attack would be Mobility cars.
I didn't hear enough to work out if it was a definite thing or just scaremongering.

    /QUOTE]

Sorry! It's going to be lovely here today but a big warning to make the most of it as it's going to become very autumnal this week - cold, windy, rainy. Oh, just your normal weather, Mardatha :rotfl:.

I've just realised that my dad rang me late last night, but for once I was in a lovely deep sleep. I now feel anxious as it can only be not so good or downright bad news about something :( but it's too early to ring them, and I have to go out and help the hedgehog rescue in a few minutes, so won't be back til lunchtime to find out what's wrong.

    Enjoy your Sundays folks.
