Oh yes they are special yorkshire pig eggs...you have to be a local to get them *nods*
Ah, they'll be the ones that are sold with the tea from the invisible Yorkshire tea fields that only the locals can see.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

LMAO, I am still p'd off that I went over quite a bit of Yorkshire and never got to see a single tea terrace................. if only I had known that I was wasting my time as a softie southerner trespassing in godzone county.
Big ole place, isn't it? I avoided Filey on account of my war wound from 1975.

What about these micro-organisims for slugs? It's interesting reading about them and they are eco friendly. Just might be an answer to lower the ever advancing enemy.
NematodesGood idea but I'd need the large pack x 3 and if I went for the 3-treatment one it would be £180! Haven't got it unfortunately so will just continue using the business end of the spade (£5 boot fair, 100% organic) as Madame Guillotine.

Ok I have to ask, I know Im nosey but you cannot just put a comment like that and wander off to think of dastardly ways to kill slugs - war wound??? Why can't slugs be fluffy and eat ants - oh yes then they'd be ant eaters I guess, you know what I mean they are totally without any redeeming features :rotfl:
Shegar, glad you got the appointment through at last, will be thinking about you both xx
I noticed in Mr T last night prices creeping up and value range have a lot of unstocked bits - the only tea bags were so far back on the bottom shelf I would have needed a pair of hands to pull me out if I had gone in for them. Custard creams seem to be following the giant panda and becoming extinct. I guess more peeps are buying the budget stuff now or are the SM's not rushing to re-stock in the hope you will buy the dearer ones.Clearing the junk to travel light

DD2 had an MRI a couple of months ago at 08.30 on a Sunday morning at our local hospital.
Had chilli and wedges for tea tonight and have made extra wedges which I am now freezing. OH has been clattering around in the kitchen and has made a rhubarb and orange crumble with custard. It was lovely but I will suffer for it tomorrow with painful wrists, which will be a good excuse for not doing the ironing.
All of the beans made it into the freezer and I have made three pots of blackberry jam. The kids have tasted it and like it so I will make some more with the rest that are left.
Off for an early night aas hopefully taking the girls to the Llangollen balloon festival tomorrow.
Evening all Mrs VPI am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Sorry to tease, ginny, it's a running gag in my family. I have a big scar on my leg from a holiday in Filey back in 1975 and have never been back there from that day to this. Filey is mentioned with a twinkle and a grimace in our immediate circle.
I was a nipper at the time. Cannot tell you how it happened as the other parties to the incident could conceivably be reading this and it could cause embarrassment all round. Rather bizarre set of circumstances.:)I was an active child and picked up a few scars and broken bones from charging about. Every dent tells a story. All in all, ending up in the woods last September with the Mad Bushcrafters was a logical extension of a tomboy childhood.

mmm may sulk in my corner of scotland. Not a single tomato this year - my plants have flowers still, only a few tiny courgettes (and I want them to make lemon curd) the brambles are still green, potatoes yielded enough for one dinner and my winter veg are still only 3 inches high ....................... and I think winter has come already!!
Fuddle eldest waited a month recently for his disclosure to come through, so don't worry if it's a little longer.

I do feel the benefit of it now I am working though, especially when talking to professionals in other areas.
I'm starting a masters later this month - i'm seeing it as insurance for if/when this job goes and I have to look for something else - also as my health issues worsen I'm hoping to earn a little more each hour to allow me to cut down the time I work a little.
Ooh just looking on the book people and I see the Garden Cottage Diaries is only £4 - a lovely book about a lady who lived as in former times.
I agree about the masters, what are you doing it in? Is that the right academic phrase?I started my degree by default, but should have chosen a different area, although at the time, foundation degrees were just starting so not a huge choice and I wasn't planning that far ahead, only decided to do the third year after my confidence increased and I thought, I can DO this.

Hi Byatt - I chose my degree based on my parenting experiences, but realised as I worked through that west scotland does not have a service in the area I was interested in, so steered it towards where my job was! I'm doing health and wellbeing (I work in the third sector) planning on focussing on health and life chances - really looking forward to it!0

Yes i enjoyed it too, but was so disappointed when I read that she had taken time out and flown somewhere during her time there - silly I know but it seemed such a huge deviation from her intended plans0
