I bought vodka in Aldi today for my xmas hamper makings but I think it might be slightly cheaper in Mr T...must admit I never go for absolute cheapest mind you in case its Brainrot. IYKWIM.
I need to find some blackberries! The only place I can think of near me is right next to a main road, there isn't even a pavement.0 -
Apparently cheap vodka can be filtered through water filter cartridges to improve it...0

Fuddle would think nettles will freeze similar to spinach so should be fine.
Lisa on Jamie at home he used an old baking tray with coals in and put an old cooling rack across the top for a Barbie if that's any help?
Sorry mean to type Barbie not Barrie lol on iPad I hate technology insert embarrassed smiley here..
You might do better with a shelf out of the oven (or rescued from an oven in a skip) as it will be designed to withstand high temperature. I wouldn't want to trust a cooling rack TBH.

Hello all. Been a bit obsessed this week with fudge. Had disasters earlier in the week, and now have literally three huge jars of unset fudge which will have to be used for some kind of sauce  Determined to crack the thing, I tried a different recipe this morning, which a thread on here pointed me to. I now have 15 bars
all wrapped up for the market on Monday/Tuesday - there is a bank holiday event so expected to step up to the challenge both days!
I seem to have spent all the rest of the week doing washing  I refused point blank to feed the four other adults in the house tonight...and told them to blimmin' well fend for themselves. DS ate brownies, OH had beans on toast, and DD found some stuff for her and BF. I finished off some rice, with all the veggie leftovers I gathered from the fridge in, including some bean salad - that may have been a mistake :rotfl: as I'm working tomorrow!
We took mum back to the station on Weds. and I had a bit of a naughty spend up, I bought a wireless printer, which I can say has really revolutionised my life (Sad bunny that I am) Mum spent quite a few hours while she was here, working out why the lovely chi-chi vintage labels I found to download on line printed out weird. I've spend a lot of time on it myself, but mum used to be a computer programmer and is a lot more methodical than me, my usual response to technology acting up is to threaten to drop kick it off the Mwnt (local beauty spot).
Mum decided (and I have to say she was almost as demented as I was when I tried) that it was the PRINTER that was at fault.
Anyway, I have 'issues' with my 'office' a chair by a table in the sitting room, as it gets piled up with stuff, and if I try and sit in the the dogs wedge behind me and push me off!!! So I treated myself to the printer in Mr T, and now I can sit in the dining room, at a table on a normal chair, and send my stuff to print - bliss. :T
So now I have fudge AND chi-chi fudge labels... I also manage to knock out about a dozen red candy melt dragons, in my new mould...ready for the event Monday. They are Welsh dragons, so I dare say the mould will get plenty of use. They are going to sit on my cupcakes!

I actually went out on my own today - had to go and take more money out the bank than cash machine allows, so doped myself up and did it......took my old shopping trolley thinking I would go to some shops and wheels fell off - it was ancient. So there was me with various odds and ends including a new coolbox in shopping centre and a trolley sans wheels. I of course was at opposite end to car park where I could have got a store trolley so whipped into argos and chose a nice 4 wheel trolley, you could use 2 or 4 wheels and waited. Had, had to wait nearly 20 mins to be served, both SA on the phone, ordered it, waited another 10 mins then guy brings it out and I said I want to use it straight away, so guy kindly takes it out the plastic. I take it and see only two wheels, search inside and no more wheels. Guy asks is something wrong and I mention the missing wheels, he says no there are the wheels, pointing to the two on it. No I say pointing to the other bar that is bare of wheels and say how that should have two wheels as well. No he says two wheels that is just extra. So get a catalogue and show him, 4 wheels, oh he says and vanishes. 40 mins later he reappears and tells me they have no more trolleys like that nor the other 4 wheel ones and he would arrange a refund and how it would have to be on gift card as I was returning a defective item. No I say I want my cash back I never took full possession of trolley - didn't move from collection point. Manager called, apologies and I am refunded in cash. I had been in that shop standing there with a broken trolley for 1hr 20mins and came out with the same. I was not amused.
I was aching and tired so went into wilkis and bought for less money than argos a 4 wheel trolley but old fashioned tartan type but works and easy to use and they were helpful. I stood away from till to put together trolley and supervisor came over and did it for me, really nice of her.
I went and had a coffee and pain meds then went to look at wilkis sale, sadly most camping stuff gone, they only had things I already have. Did buy a new lamp though with normal fitting to put my Bio-bulb in, instead of putting it in overhead fitting as I loathe overhead lights, but not been able to find a lamp with normal fitting for it. Will have to take shade off, but want the bulb bare anyway to gain most benefit from it. It helped me last winter so much.
