katie - its good they got their money back but I can understand how she feels about having no choice where to live, I have been there and done that a few times. It really does get you down, I think it only changes when you realise that home is wherever you and your family are, and that discovery only comes with experience. :)

Is there no-one with a caravan they can borrow for a few weeks rather than taking your business rooms? Realistically if they could borrow a caravan on a drive they could stay a bit longer and find somewhere they prefer.

I suppose there is also the radical suggestion of a garden shed - I have seen a few cases recently of parents putting large sheds in the garden for their offspring to live whilst they save for deposits etc. :)

DH and I have already talked about that. When we can buy again we want to be able to get a house with a garage so we can convert into a living space for the kids when they're older. I do like the idea of a large cabin like thing in the garden. Oh, woodburner in there... scrap that, the kids can have the house, i'll live in the garden :rotfl:

Its warm here but not terribly although this afternoon sun has come out of hiding and slowly heat has risen.

Don't know if I have some tummy bug that will not go away or starting the carry on I had about 10 years ago where I ended up living on plain boiled rice and boiled chicken for a couple of years. Did wonders for my weight and doctors never did decide the cause but now twice this week Sunday and Yesterday I have been rather violently sick
and after yesterdays bout I suddenly felt so very tired and slept from around 6.30pm till 10am this morning. This is how it started back then occasional sickness a few times a week. Will have to wait and see.

I have picked my last 3 cabbages, blanched them and put them in the steamer. Same with my last carrots - during the slicing of which I took off the top of right index finger and as I touch type and am having to use middle finger in place of index I keep hitting the wrong key. So between this and space bar I just want to throw laptop so will stop before I do.

    Hugs and Lovexxx

I heard something on the radio a few weeks ago where people were living in garden sheds(but having to watch out regarding councils getting involved)

Wish I could remember where and what they said I wasn't paying attention.

I paid £7 on diced lamb and pork today(that will have to be watched in future)but I think I can have small portions and bulk it out with vegetables and other things and can get three meals out of each so that's working out around £1.15 a portion...Even diced chicken was £2.99...

If I can get space in the freezer I have found the freezer shop on town are selling cooked chicken thighs and drumsticks for £2.29, in Tesco's I could pay more than that for them raw and more if cooked...so if I get some in the future I win in every way and no cooking...

Think it's new potatoes tonight, pork meatballs but not sure what else to do...fruit to follow afterwards...should I do another salad?

How are you feeling now pops. Fancy a bit of amateur psychology? What do you think of the idea that you've been shopping and throwing yourself into preparing for the future as a way of coping with your grief? Maybe now you haven't got anything major to buy, are pretty much there with your stocks etc that the shopping and preparing ideas are no longer the focus of your attention. Now there's a void? Just something to think about as I know I've kind of done this myself.

    Hope you're alright.

I think you're quite spot on...I think I know it myself;)and thank you for caring...the truth is I am ok most of the time and I really don't sit down and think morbid thoughts but when you get a keyboard and access to a blog or start writing as I am here, you wonder where this all comes from.

Often you can see what's happening to someone else but not always when it's yourself. Thing is I can self analysise...

The lady at NPower was trained in psychology and said I will still get wobbles even in twenty years but hopefully I will cope and live through them, you'll never lose them totally. All the advice and words from the people here are true and so many have been through it already in some way with family, friends, partners and so on.

Wobbles are ok :) We need wobbles to make sure we're on the right path. Spending money, even on useful things soon wares off. Wandering around the shops, seeing what bargains there are to be had. Well it gets monotonous, even when it's just habit and not doing the whole 'diverting attention' or 'filling a void' kind of thing.

I bounce from idea to idea. i know why I do it. I do it to keep my interest in things and to help stay positive about life. It's like I'm addicted to the exciting feelings learning something new brings or the spark of "oh I can do that!" when I see an idea that is cool. Without those those little bits of excitement in my day I'd find it all too much, all too boring. I would get down.

You haven't really known me without being on the anti-depressants. I bound around this thread like a little excitable girl. My worry is I'll change when I'm not on the anti-d's. You will all tell me if my writing style gets maudling or miserable won't you? I think I have another 6 months on them. I don't want to come off them at all. I like this me. It feels like me, not a false medicated me, just me.

For a good 15 years I knew I needed help. I avoided it like the plague, even I knew I had post natal depression, I falsified the answers on my questionairre to what I thought a normal person would be, so it didn;t flag up that I needed help. When I finally got help, it was the best thing I ever did for myself. :)

    Fuddle,
Mum, Dad and myself have always had a sense of wonder not unlike yourself. If I need help as in AD's I'll ask...too many try to avoid asking for help and they have their part to play in our well being...

They may try and wean you off them but if they help, work and do not lose their effectiveness like you, it would not worry me staying on them...

We have to look for things to fill the long hours and to occupy our minds because the truth is probably if we didn't we'd realise that a lot of life is traumatic and sad. We need some positive input...some reassurance that all is well.

Hey, you watch the Hairy Bikers, did you see the one where Dave went through the fridge throwing food away like ice cream etc...that was over the top(wasn't sure if that was done for the tv programme for affect...)nothing wrong with ice cream it's how much you have and how often. Like any food...

I tried to find packets pizza base mix as used in their meat pie in the local supermarket without success so wheter they don't stock it or there has been on a run on it already...I don't know...

I did! I was shocked and thinking, I hope he gives it to someone. I have a feeling it was done for the cameras and his step daughter put her ice-cream right back afterwards. I hope so anyway!

Dave annoys me but I really like Si. I have a soft spot for him :)

Someone somewhere said they'd run out of tinned tomatoes...Tesco's have a brand called Indus(cheaper than their own Everyday value brand)chopped or plum 25p a can...

Red salmon is still expensive(Tuna too to some extent)but they had cans of tuna chunks in brine, sunflower oil or spring water(4x185g)Oriental And Pacific brand for £3...
