Top of the page in the green bar click on user CP and you'll be taken into a section where you can add more information or take away from your profile...;)"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Found you...I see what you mean...you have started a thread on the board called Kingdom Of Bed, I thouyght that you meant you had a blog/website...
I think it will be allowed as long as it always comes back to having mainly a connection to what we talk about on the MSE website, if it was totally about a medical situation they or someone might stop it...
I haven't had a real chance to study it...and yet often because of a siuation that does affect what we do and the situation we find ourselves, I lost Mum so I am now in the middle of saying goodbye to the previous life but a new life starts that may or may not work out. I may be willing but may be stopped because of financial or health concerns.
Life can change in seconds and though to some extent we make our own destiny, sometimes it is made for us...and we either go with the flow or try to change what we can even if it is a limited success..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Fantastic Nicky I will read your thread and take it all in, it's all connected and such events can and do change our lives sometimes for the worst and sometimes we become stronger through the experince even though it is not nice. And yes, maybe you find the support that was there suddenly disappears...thank you for your kind wishes..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. WCS - its so worrying, I wonder what all these people will do, will they simply fall into arrears. And if they do can the HA/evict them?
I know that a private LL can evict for rent arrears but can a social LL? Will they not have a responsibilty to rehouse them if they evict them.
Will there at least be a period whereby if you put in for a smaller house you are exempt while you wait for one to become available?
It all seems so wrong is there no common sense any more?
Hi, yes they will fall into arrears, and yes they will be evicted, even from social housing. Some vulnerable people will be protected, in that if they are evicted then they will be re-housed through homeless services - very very stressful for them, others unless they have vulnerable people in their family - old or young people - will not. Young adults will fare the worst, as they don't get full benefits anyway up to 25 and are squeezed either way.
No, they won't exempt until they find something smaller - no-one is building single bedroom houses here so there aren't any available - they will be expected to either swallow it or take in lodgers. Appears the only thing we can do is apply for discretionary housing benefit - although this is only a temporary measure and the money available is limited.
No good news!!!! It really has folks in a panic!! It's very much being seen as an attack on the poorest and most vulnerable in our society.

H iFuddle just delurking to say have a look at the Kelly Kettle website, cheaper than the one you linked to. I have used this in very bad weather and it works perfectly.
Nan2many:)
Thank you, I will doThanks for de-lurking to tell me
I´m so sorry.... I have been writing a post all evening whilst doing other things and just posted it only to realise that peeps on here have so many, much graver issues. Please don´t get me wrong..I have gleaned so much from the tougher threads but when peeps on here have so many worries I feel a little shallow. Yes I am having to watch every € but didn´t genuinely mean to brag about my afternoon out
Elche
Post Elche, anything and everything about your day, good, bad, whinge and jumping for for and all. We need it here.
Oh dear. Sometimes I wish I didn't get out of bed, put the kettle on and log on for a catch up. Makes for dire reading.
I'm going to see if my council are proposing anything. It really is getting to the time where we all have to knuckle down and get on with things. I have been so focused on my girls going to university to do the best they can do "etc, etc" as they are very bright but gawd, I just want them to survive in this world. The htought of having them around me in their twenties is actually quite a nice though - big up for families but what effect ill it have on my DD's on their quest for family life? DD, husband, 27 and new baby all holed up in her childhood bedroom. I guess that is no bad thing - except if I had to live with my Mam till I was 30, Oh crikey perish the thought!0
