It's been quite a problem with many people being disappointed but then again the police have come in for a lot of praise, very friendly, lots on motorbikes and most smiling, friendly and hi fiving spectators especially children...
I think he'll love that...hope it stays fine weather wise...a road junction might be a great location if you know they have to turn left or right and you are on the opposite side of the road that hopefully will give a good view. Wish I'd thought about it more...
Fuddle(or anyone with a slow cooker:))thinking about trying out my slow cooker with or without instructions to cook my chicken(today or tomorrow)may be cheaper than using the electric fan oven. I have to cook it for 75 minutes at 190 I think in the oven...
I've never used the SC before...Can I cook it in a roasting bag or can you not use them in a sc? I'm thinking a RB may melt?
This is the one I have...

>>There are 25 mm in one inch, Byatt.<<
Thanks GQ, so why on learning that, do I still think 25mm is much bigger than an inch?! My own lopsided brain, thinks 25 is higher than one, this is what I mean about my dopiness these days...0 -

The bags will not melt. The slow cooker is nowhere near as hot as an oven when you are roasting.
I would just put the chicken in the bag with any seasonings and place in the slow cooker. If you have an auto setting on it just use that otherwise work out if you want it in a couple of hours high setting or later on low.0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Well today has not started off well as of tomorrow I am unemployed:(
I only work part time, but the lady who owns the place where I work said she is finding it hard to go on. I do feel for her she has owned this place along time, and I do understand.
So the budget will need to be tighten so tight.
My OH is retired, so this afternoon, will be spent going over everything to see what we can cut. So wish me luck.C.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h

This weather is just horrible, but I noticed that on the continent they are having similar weather as well as that is how far the jet stream has dropped. Only bonus is that I am not using much water for the garden pots and baskets as the rain is doing the job for me!
Not necessarily make do and mend but I am managing to pick up some reasonably priced Emma Bridgewater items off Ebay. Some things are going for utterly daft prices but odds and bobs I am getting for allot less than what was originally paid for a brand new item. Allot of people will have never used them as they have had these things on display on a dresser or shelf. Some things will be the same for me just go onto my dresser for display purposes.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Pops - my SC just has a "high" and "low" setting and I bung a chicken in on low with a glut of wine or stock for 6 hours. It literally falls of the bones so can be hard to lift out in one bit....that's where the bags will really help.
I used to be a moderator on my local freecycle, the abuse I used to get was horrendous. Had one man email me every 10 minutes for nearly a week, using different email addresses so I couldn't block him. All because I wouldn't let him post 6 wanted adds in one day, he was asking for high price items and got really shirty.

Big hugs Sunshine - I'm in the same position, and I know other folk here are too. Mine came out of the blue as well, it's a big shock, so please look after yourself xxx0
