Good luck with the deciding Kidcat - Mrs L makes a very good point about time out. Would the official job title and attendant stuff be a good morale boost and allow you to be *Kidcat* the helpful professional rather than mummy kidcat who knows quite lot? It sounds very much like the type of job I would love once both mine are at school, although I would be looking for more general disabilities rather than ASD specific as I really feel that families need that intermediary between themselves and the 'system' in order to help them navigate the minefield that it is.

Total change of subject but just wanted to quickly let you all know that Mr T's value butter is much cheaper than usual this week - down to 98p a pack. It was £1.19 last week!

I would certainly be tempted by the job Kidcat, as it will likely open doors, but as had been said only you know if you can manage it or not.

Well, I see it's been raining again...and I see it's been bad in someparts of the country from what has been said earlier on this thread.

The treatment I have had and may have for my condition has meant my waistline has fluctuated. It used be 32" but I think it went up to 38" and now it's back to 36" not so much affected by how much I eat more the shape my stomach is. I had a lovely tight little tum but it was stretched and when everything was under control it stayed that way.

If I start to eat more my weight might go up again so I am wondering if I should buy some in the larger size so I am prepared whilst I can. Any opinions?

It's been really difficult getting trousers in my size in a basic, nothing special style...I always have to shorten the legs(even 29" has to lose around 2")

But I did get away from black this time...2 pairs in grey, 1 in fawn and 1 in black. When in Sainsbury's I tried to find some more and they were not very good, the material was very thick and felt strange...and again it was difficult to find my size.

So far the average price seems to be £14. And Tesco's usually deliver. If I get into ASDA soon I'll see if they have anything. As I will be seeing if they have any electric blankets. I should've gone there today after being in Sainsbury's rather than come home. The town i was in has Sainsbury's, Tesco's, Lidl, Aldi, Morrisons, Wilkinsons, M&S, Iceland.

I got two cans of New Potatoes(19p)and three of sliced carrots(26p) in Sainsbury's...they've gone into my store cupboard...Can't get lemon sole anywhere on the town so I managed to get two for £3 so I suppose that's not bad and I'll get two meals out of it and can add from my store cupboard...

Thanks, I think I have decided to apply and see what happens, realistically with jobs so scarce its highly unlikely I will get it anyway. There are probably loads of people much more qualified than I am so it may well be a case of worrying too soon. If by some chance I got it then I will decide then. As always simply having you all there to "listen" helps so much. :)

JPS - we considered the pop up tent but as he is so destructive he ruins them in hours. This design was done between us and the occupational therapist and we are hoping it works.

Have been to Ikea and bought a small duvet some pillows and a cover to cushion inside until I an buy a weighted blanket etc and was stunned at the prices, pillows were only £1.30, single duvet £4 and cover £3 - amazingly cheap and ideal for my needs. It means that it he ruins the lot I wont be too upset :)

When I watched the Hairy Bikers Diet programme...I still thought their main problem to be not so much what they ate but the portion size and how often they eat in a day and that needs changing as much as anything. I know that Fuddle watched it too.

It's come in very dark and rainclouds are passing over...Still to have my meal and I will...what I don't have in the potatoes I'll slice and fry them tomorrow and have them with my meal(when I decide what I am having)

Some of the pleasure of cooking and eating has gone but at least I am still managing to keep interest in doing so but I can quite understand how cooking for one it's tempting to go for quick and easy. Soups, baked beans etc...nothing wrong with that but it is good to have a varied diet.

Kidcat - I've had software and sensory items from this site and had great service (lost parcel replaced straight away no probs) and excellent items. I see they do weighted blanket cheaper than most seem to be.

I think your wedding sounds lovely. Don't want to put my foot in it but have noticed a lot of people who have had really simple weddings are still together 20 or more years later and some who have gone mad on "the day" and "the wedding" rather than the marriage itself have not been together a few years later.

I feel :( that no one got you a present though.

Glad you are considering applying - I think you would be great. Maybe if offered the job and you expained need for fares and expenses brought about because you are the right person for the job- you live it and that is something that can't be taught.

Need to nip off and do a quick tidy as dd has friend coming over.

See you later and hugs to all.
