Do these kick out much heat when they're on? Would you notice it if you were in a small room with one?

fuddle which Richard Mabey book? I had a flick through the newest hardback version of Food For Free in Waterstones today and was disappointed. Some reviews on ebay mentioned a book which had illustrations and photos for each plant, but this seemed more like a photography/coffee table book!

I'm not Fuddle :D, but it's the Collins little gem book, I got mine from Ama$on, although I've not had much chance to use it. It's really handy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0007183038/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00

Popperwell, don't panic, the dehydrator is not a must have, but a wish for, unless you have lots of fruit/veg you want to dry out. It sounds fab but I'm not 100% sure I will use it fully, so a cheaper version will be a good idea for me. Just in case it's a 5 minute wonder.

Is anyone watching Stargate Universe? If so, can they tell me what's happening?! :rotfl:

It's been a long time since I've watched the news in full, so when did it get so bitty? I mean there's loads of international stuff squeezed in, they gave as much coverage to the Russian floods (admittedly more people killed there) as they did to ours. There's no news to speak of, just bits...

Wow what a great tennis match. Can you believe we have a Wimbledon champion? And he was a wildcard who only got together with his partner a couple of weeks ago?!

Same here but now that I have an egg slicer I may try it on a banana and tomato just to see what happens...

Byatt mentioned a room temperature thermometer and there is a cheap, good enough one on e-bay but look at this fancy one...I like it but it needs to be plugged into the mains...

Wow, I was reading it as Murray when I saw the headlines! :rotfl:

Well, who knows what tomorrow will bring. Should be an exciting final. Not sure I can bear watching though.

Night night, early start tomorrow, hoping the roads are clear. Poor puss cats will be starving.
