Yw Popperwell It's the mom in me, I can't help but want to look after people. If you have freezer space can I suggest making up some batches of soup. That way all you have to do is take a bag out of the freezer and warm it up in the microwave or in a pan on the hob. I do this when I know I'm headed into a low patch and it means I don't have to make any decisions about food which helps a lot. I'm sure the lovely ladies here have some slow cooker soup recipes.0

Yes, it is going down to 15% but that's all I know...a lot of what's happening is not known becuae they seem to be keeping quiet. Or the media isn't reporting it for some reason...Let the joy be unconfined. It already takes one whole month of net earnings each year to pay the blinking council tax.:( And I'm in a Band A property in a relatively-low CT charging area.
Better OS harder as it's getting a bit grim.
Pops, the stories of eggs inspired me to fry an egg for brekkie with h.m [STRIKE]cobblestones[/STRIKE] ooops, meant wholemeal rolls with sunflower seeds in. That's a lot of the nutritional bases covered, with a pot of salad-y stuff for lunch (whoopsied tomatoes and a Lidl 39p cucumber).
Grief, it's nearly gone dark again as there's another torrential rainstorm. That better ruddy well be over by the time I walk to work or I shall not be best pleased. I really think having to wear GoreTex and use a brolly in the height of summer isn't the done thing.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I'm in Band B,
But our town is the most expensive in the area...
Good old eggs, mine are ok but I used to buy the best especially with Mum in mind. Now they are value eggs and approx £1.59 for 15...
Think I'll have salad for lunch though that may get pushed back into the afternoon.
It's reasonably easy to have something from all the main food groups and thus get the nutrition and vitamins we should.
Hope you have a good day even if it's work. It's rained all night and though brigtish I suspect we'll have rain before too long.

I have a lovely book with 100's of recipes for soup, might be time to dig it out and start to make some(But I have a lot of tinned soups to use up first...though if the dates are ok they can still be part of my store of food...
Wish my freezer was bigger but if I am going to use the HM soup quickly the fridge may do...should be less costly doing my own...I still haven't quite got used to the freezing/defrosting of food, I have tended to make a meal and eat it there and then unless say you have to decant half a can of baked beans or soup for another day...

Morning everyone
Drizzly weather here this morning but I will be inside doing my bit at the charity shop so I don't mind too much.
Times are changing for sure, some of the mums of the near by school have started to shop there under the guise of looking at toys with their little uns.
Had some yellow sticker berries (20p) that I left too long in the fridge so I boiled them up with a little sugar and stuck them in some jelly.....yum yum, and I did and extra one just to try last night you understand

GQ:- yes it's going to be 15%, It will hit a lot of pensioners as well as singles!
Popperwell:- I think you live in ?Darlo? I have no idea why we in Durham have such high CT my family in Newcastle pay a lot less than we do.:(Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -

Close enough;)
Durham County Council probably has much to do with it...then again CT was high before they took over from the borough councils etc...that were disolved. You do wonder...Fuddle and a few of us are quite close to each other..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
