Three Final Bill - Early Termination Charge

My husband has just left Three as they could offer him no better deal than what they offer new customers on the website. Nothing from Three for loyalty! He was told he could leave on 15th June.

He has moved Network and ported his number on 27th June. He has received his final bill today and has been charged a £21 early termination charge :mad::mad:

Three have this stupid system that once you leave them you cannot log into your account however I have found the sale contract which he signed on 27th June 2010 (2 year contract). I am unsure of what date he would have ported his number to Three but it would have been a couple of days after 27th June 2010.

During the 40 minute phone call to Three when trying to get an upgrade from them there was no mention whatsoever of a termination fee, they told him he could leave on 15th June.Moreso why has he been charged a termination fee when he has completed his contract?

I am so mad at this but will obviously have to wait until tomorrow before we can speak to them.

Anybody any idea why this charge is in the bill?

Thanks

The charge is on the bill because the number was ported out before the end of the 30 day notice period. When you request a PAC, you have to pay for the next 30 days regardless of when you port the number.

If he'd ported out 2 or 3 days before the end of the notice period, there would have been no charges.
