  • hi, i attended university for the 2010/11 year, but i dropped out after the first year, i have since decided to reapplied and accepted to join another university to start this year (2012/13), however at this stage i am unsure whether to go through uni again or to simply go into a job.

    simple question would i be eligible for this partial cancellation?

    thanks in advance :)

    The heading is wrong :angry:

    It is not "welsh students" but those who have taken their loan from Student Finance Wales - whether they are english, welsh or any other nationality. My children are welsh students but we live in England so can't get the benefit of this.

    This is really good news for me. For £5 I can get £1500 off my loan.

    A quick question. I has student finance in both 2010/11 and 2011/12. So do I get 2 lots of £1500 (£3k), or just the one £1500 off?

    Welsh students implies students from Wales, who got loans from SFW.

    English students studying in Wales are still English students, surely?

    Lovely for all the welsh students, but if we are all part of GB/UK shouldn't it be all students or none getting the £1500 wipe out?

    what makes you think for one minute we are a united kingdom? As atypical has said we're not since devolution.

    You just have to listen to the news to know that very little of the items discussed actually affect wales, scotland or northern ireland - think of the policy changes in education and the nhs and you'll know what I mean.

    If you think that welsh (ie normally living in wales) students getting £1500 off their loan is bad better not tell you that those same students are only having to pay approx £3250 regardless of where they study in tution fees from sept 2012
    2014 Target;
    To overpay CC by £1,000.
    Overpayment to date : £310

    2nd Purse Challenge:
    £15.88 saved to date
