    yeah, i mentioned 9 as the lowest version that does support mp3, in previous releases microsoft were adamantly against mp3 support as a free codec based standard - they were trying to license asf/wma (their own encoding) and to make money out of it but eventually lost out :)

  • Only get first 10 seconds or so then a message saying it has reached the end of the file :(

    I can't get it to work either. I have Windows Media version 10 and have tried every which way to get this to work - but to no avail. I either get a message saying "Reached end of file" when there has been no playback at all or I get 6 seconds of "Welcome to Martin's Money Mutterings" and then nothing..............I'll give up now!
