Goldfish loan - No idea how to find out if I'm entitled to anything?

Hiya,
Sorry for asking questions which are probabaly already answered elsewhere but I have read all Martin's links on this and am still confused
I have always refused insurance when offered so when all this stuff came out about PPI reclaiming I assumed nothing would affect me. Now though after reading that some people got charged it without knowing I worked out what my monthly payments should have been on my loan, and I'm pretty sure I was overcharged (can't prove it unfortunatley as don't have the paperwork anymore so my rate is just from memory!)
Had a £7k goldfish loan from 2007 to 2010. At some point when Goldfish sold their loans I had a letter saying it had gone to Liverpool Victoria. I think I had another letter after that with it being transferred to someone else but it was just as I was making the last payment so didn't take much notice. On my credit record it says Wesleyan bank? I'm confused, other people with Goldfish loans seem to have been transferred to Barclays?
Anyway I applied online so sounds like it was my fault if I didn't check the tick boxes. Is is worth me chasing this up, along with the fact I have no paperwork. If so, who do I contact?
Thanks for any advice.

"At the same time, the purchase of Liverpool Victoria’s £50m personal loan book doubled the assets of Wesleyan Bank and saw the mutual recruit additional staff to bolster its Birmingham-based banking operation."Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. ok thanks, had never heard of Wesleyan but that makes sense. Would Goldfish have sold their loans to different banks then? I was wondering why mine didn't go to Barclays like other peoples.
I guess Wesleyan are the people to contact to see if I had any PPI.0
