Hi i've had someone buy my item on ebay and 2 days after winning the item i email them asking if they still wanted it (i never mentioned payment) now they've emailed me (not very nicely with lots of these in it !!!!!!!!!!! ) telling me i should give people a chance to pay and that they have now paid and have i sent the item yet. i replied no but will post soon then got another email saying oh i'm not in such a rush now am i and they are going to contact ebay. now them contacting ebay doesn't bother me because i've done nothing wrong i have just checked the feedback they have left for others and they are just vile people.
now my question is I don't want to deal with this person anymore so if i just refund their payment can they still leave me feedback;) cheers guys

Yes they can leave you feedback.
Whilst I do not agree with the tone of the buyers emails you do perhaps need to be a little more tactful and patient with buyers.
Just send an invoice after auction ends if they don't pay, maybe a second on day 3 or 4 and then on day 4 or 5 open a full NPB. No need to ask if they still want it as that gives them the chance to say no, which leaves you in a difficult position.
I am probably the quickest off the mark doing my NPBs and some people wait a week or more, but I just open them, I don;t email the buyer at all before I do so. Two invoices maximum and then straight to an NPB.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I fully understand your situation. If someone buys an item, it is quite natural to expect them to pay straight away, unless they have contacted you to ask to pay by another method.
If they have paid, then the best thing to do is just send the item. Then block them from buying from you again.0 -
well i don't know what to do now do you think i should just post it off to them then? if they can leave me feedback eitherway:( i just wanted to refund and have nothing more to do with them.

yes but you caused it by emailing them! There's a tool in place for dealing with non-paying bidders after a reasonable time and you chose not to do that. Now you've got their back up without just cause.
If it were me, now, I would ensure that it's sent fully tracked so that you can defend a Item Not Received claim... And make sure it's well packed too.
Hope it works out ok for you!0 -

Good Advice, you get the feeling they just might not receive the item if not!0 -

This sounds like a recent buyer of mine! They took offence to the fact that I asked for payment 3 days after no payment and no communication.
When they paid on day 4, I sent them another email actually thanking them - but ironically, the response was a bad DSR star for (wait for it!) my communication!
Actually the body of opinion here was that I should have done nothing and just done an NPB on day 4. However, I suspected at the time, that if a sent a NPB without warning, I'd still end up with the same DSR or worse.
I've just had a look at the feedback they've left others and (surprise, surprise), in two cases, it refers to taking offence to being "rushed" for payment.
I wonder, do these kind of people go through the rest of their lives with the same attitude?
Do they take a call from their employer and shout "Look! I will come to work when it suits me!"?
Or do they annotate a letter from their bank stating "I will pay the mortgage when I feel like it?"
The mind boggles!
