difficult technical samsung question

i have a samsung 8300 phone the microphone is starting to fail,,, i have it striped down,, and i have a new mic,,, but ive looked all over and i can not see were the mic is situated,, as any one changed a mic on this phone or do you know were its location is,, it sounds easy but ive searched the net to find next to nothing

It will be a small surface mount device. Looking at it, this is it:



It should be easy to find but you may need to take the entire PCB out of the chassis to find it.

I hope its not soldered in because you won't be doing that without the proper gear.

yes that is the mic i have,,,, i have striped the phone down to the PCB but still can not see it,,, im looking at the bottom of the phone as i expect it to be there?? its well hidden

I'm sure on my old Nokia it was at the top.

for future reference its hidden at the bottom of the phone under the small black bridge with the two piece metal strip,,, and for anyone thinking of buying the mic and changing it for get it ,,look at the picture,,, and them 4 gold contacts are soldered on with no way of getting it off
