Hi, have just purchased new hp 2311x - 23" LED monitor & being a complete idiot:mad: didn't realize that it didn't have built in speakers. That will teach me to read product details more carefully. So have a great new monitor but without any sound:(. Can any helpful person recommend some decent speakers to go with it? would really appreciate some advice.
Many thanks.

Generally speaking inbuilt speakers are going to be relatively poor anyway so you will be doing yourself a favour by getting a stand alone set.

Some more information please such as your budget and do you just want a pair of speakers or do you want a 2.1 set to give you a bit of added bass etc.

The 2011x is a 20" monitor. Do you mean 2311x?

How much did you pay for it? I would have gone for the LG IPS panel at that price point.

Don't really want to go over £50 or £60.00. Just need decent sound quality to watch You Tube etc. don't tend to play much music on PC.

Sorry my mistake. You're right it's the 2311x. After much research bought from Currys for £139.00.

Very nice & good price but I really like mine. Was cheaper than Amazon & John Lewis plus wanted it today (pretty pointless as I haven't any sound).

Doesn't sound as though you did do your research then. :)

It's good that you really like yours, but you would have liked the IPS panel even more. ;)

    Girls eh? :D
