Nice idea, however its strictly illegal for anyone unregistered to clamp another and ask for moneyYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

Sorry. I was sure that the law came in last year.0 -
Not until October this year so not long to wait. Expect ever more outrageous clamping stories on the run up to the ban.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Really? I'm sure I saw something on the news last year saying that the law had come in.0 -
May be worth checking they complied with all the points in this factsheet.

Read para 4 of this, it implies clamping will be banned in Oct but they can still tow.

This forum can offer advice as well you know !
As said keep on at the bank, DEMAND dont ask, request section 75 forms be filed, threaten to close accounts, DEMAND to speak to managers.
This is your best line of attack, you can sue the Landowner and Clamper jointly and it must be jointly but a chargeable will achieve a quicker outcome.
Keep on at them, call every 5 minutes until they do get fed up.
If you have to go down the sue route, then you will need some ammunition from the council, they will hold planning documents for the retail park and this may have conditions on the parking that exclude charges.
Also the signs may not have planning intermission, so start making trouble for them.
You would need to show the clamping was unlawful and if it falls foul of the planning consent it was.
The clampers will have dozens of CCJ against them, they just ignore them, however the landowner will not and will need a good credit score so will fear a CCJ, so if the chargeback fails to the point the account is shut and a complaint made to the FOS then consider suing the land owner and clamper as jointly liable.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
