Santander 2 year Fixed Rate ISA

Hi there,

I opened the above ISA a few days ago (4% interest, fixed for 2 years). I want to pay in my full ISA allowance for this tax year but also transfer a previous ISA (Nationwide e-ISA) into the account. Is this possible?

If I pay the 2012/13 allowance in via internet banking, I am scared they will reject the transfer as it will be a "second deposit". Am I wrong?

As it is a fixed rate product, can I only pay in once?

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks
H

    Welcome to the forum

Assuming you haven't paid anything at all into a cash ISA since 6th April 2012, what you want to do is fine.

Pay in your £5640 (this year's allowance) as soon as you have your ISA account number. At the same time, complete Santander's online ISA transfer form and either post it or hand it into a branch within 14 days of opening your account. Santander will then approach Nationwide and transfer your previous years' ISA. Whatever you do DO NOT attempt to transfer your old ISA yourself - that would definitely be rejected

    Good luck :)
