Whatever tent you get, read the instructions and follow to the letter as your life will be SO much easier! Also always do a test run before you go.

Vango is the best tent brand but not cheap, worth it in my opinion though! Whatever you do DO NOT buy an unbranded tent, I have made this mistake and believe me it's a false economy and you will regret it!

Argos or Amazon are good for tents and also have reviews. If you need inflatable beds the tesco ones on half price are very comfy, plus always take a wooden mallet (rubber are useless) and spare pegs as you will always need more.

If you want I can post a list of my camping essentials compiled over the years xx
Oo yes please to the list :T
    Thanks for the advise.:)

Tbh most ciggy/baccy receipts are *stand alone* ie they only have 1 or 2 items on them so I've never really taken much notice, will do now tho :D

    Thanks

Don't forget the new 8 item rule. I wouldn't waste my time now as unless the rules are different in NI, we have separate tobacco kiosks so very unlikely to have much more than a pack of fags and a lighter on the receipt.

    am tired.

i was woken up at 3am by the smoke alarm beeping, the battery was running low. i couldnt get the screw driver in the release hole, so had to get the step ladder out. and ever time it beep i hissed at it to shut up. then i was hunting around for a replacement battery, found everything, AA,AAA but struggled to find one, so i took the one out of the weighing scales. :o

i took son for a hospital check up, they are doing some more tests on him, and he had some blood taken , then promtly fainted :eek:

to see my tall strapping 14 year son end up in a heap on the floor was a bit of a shock. he has given blood before but he was very young then. on the plus side he did get some biscuits and chips to eat, with some blackcurrent squash. when we got back home he went to bed for a rest.

on the beer news, i went through ss tils, the till had a hissy fit and the woman looked at the coupons and said " one per customer", and mumbled about bulk purchasing:mad:, so they got left behind.

is there any news on the baby ?

That happened twice with my oldest before xmas when he got blood taken. He is 6ft 1in and it was a bit awful. Apparently boys - teenagers are the ones most prone to fainting. Happened both times but he was fine. AT least now he has been put off ever wanting a tattoo.
Hope he is alright now :)
