I have looked on lots of web pages regarding internet explorer but they all say download this page or that page but I can't get onto the internet at all? I thought it was a problem with my broadband but that's OK. All my shortcut buttons on the desktop are not working either only if I left click on them I don't know if that's makes any difference.
Can any one advise.
Thanks in advance.

your info is a little vague
maybe try a different browser like chrome or safari but it does not sound like its just IE that has the problem
have you downloaded or installed something recently?
have you tried a system restore/virus scan0 -

Hi Dave
I am using another computer
I did try and download a program and thought better of it and as I thought deleted it?
and the shortcut icons on my desk top used to work when I double clicked them now they only work when I double click holding the right button down on the mouse.
I have tried system restore and It is telling me it can't restore.

assuming your mouse settings aren't messed up, it could be default file associations, google it for your os

Download the installation file (.exe) using your daughters laptop & save it to the desktop of your daughters laptop:
After you've downloaded it, copy it to a CD/DVD or USB Memory stick/Flash Drive:
Then insert the CD/DVD or USB Memory stick/Flash Drive in your computer & copy the file to the desktop of your computer.
Then install the software from there.0
