Hire Car - showing warning lights on and Off

Hired a car for 3 weeks from Manchester Airport yesterday and on my way back from the airport on the Motorway one of the warning lights in amber started flashing and I felt the power loss when I was cruising at 70mph. within 30 seconds or so it settled and there was no problem after that.
the same thing happened today morning, again on the motorway and it lasted less than 1 mins when the lost some power and the lights just kept flashing in between.
the car drives fine now, but I am worried whether this will happen again, esp high high speeds on the motorway.
What is my best option - get it checked with a dealer service center or take it back to the Hire Company Office. the car is from Vauxhall, done less than 10k and is less than 1 year old.
It is a rental for 3 weeks and when I ordered I had booked for a 3 door, but they gave me a 4 door, so was pleased, but looks like if I take it back they may keep it and give me a 3 door
any advice really appreciated.

well it's kind of no other choice as when I booked it was for a 3 door Polo and got a Vauxhall Corsa (5 door) instead. Apparently they can do that as both the car are in the same 'class' as they say it, and the lady at their office even made a comment that I have been 'upgraded' as I was getting a 5 door car instead of my booked 3 door!!!0

From experience > hired an Insignia from one of the well known outlets and engine management warning light came on. Pulled over and 'phoned rental firm and spoke with a guy who informed me there was no problem particularly given the short length of my rental. Approx 70 miles later the engine blew c. £2500 of damage. Initially firm tried to bill me saying person who spoke to me was not authorised to permit me to continue driving. Obviously did not pay but think you would be well advised to speak to firm and tell them the problem.0

Just take it to the nearest office to you [or you're going past] that the particular company has and get them to swap it0
