Internet dongle to mobile wifi?

Netbook, or a Kindle from Amazon might be a worth looking at....... He will want to type things and a Tablet just isn't the same, without a keyboard.
Plus, you'll be far more familiar with the set up on a Netbook. They're small, lightweight and the battery on most will last for hours.
He already has a dongle, so that may be the way to.
However, if it's in a Desktop PC as the moment then I'm always worried about snapping them off on a laptop, small device.
Or yes. the MIFI thingy from Three (buy it on a PAYG contract. You already have the SIM. OR as the three site tells you the actual manufacture of their MIFI box thing, you could buy one on it's own from Ebay [unlocked]). Take the SIM out of the dongle, place MIFI box on a shelf where it gets a signal and hey presto, his Netbook (assuming he's alright with the small keyboard) is connected to the net.. You're done...0
