Strange Neutral Feedback

I had a feedback left night from a customer in America that just stated "didn't understand the price difference re Euro"
I had no idea what this meant at all. Nothing from the customer previously, so sent them a message. Turns out they didn't understand what the "£" on the price meant and when he got his bill it was a higher than he thought.
So, the exchange rate and the buyer not knowing that a UK seller would sell in Pounds means I get the crap mark on my account. Brilliant

Pester CS - they will probably remove it as it is obviously nonsense."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Welcome to the club! It's not unusual for Americans to read a price in GB Pounds or Euros and assume it is the same value in US Dollars.
Also I occasionally find Americans surprised to learn that an item bought from the UK means it's travelling across the Atlantic Ocean - they seem to think the UK is a couple of neighbouring states away and delivery will be next day.
I also sometimes find US buyers are particularly reluctant to accept responsibility for their own mistakes - e.g. if they buy a region 2 DVD instead of region 1, and it's explicity clear in the title and throughout the description that it's region 2... apparently, it's still not their fault!"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

This is the 2nd American feedback I have had that is nonsense. The first one was moaning that the item hadn't arrived in a couple of days (it actually arrived after 8 working days).
CS told me they couldn't remove that because it was the Buyers opinion that it should have arrived in that timescale! Which makes me reluctant to spend the time with them again but I may well try this afternoon.0 -

!
I had that once from a teacher in the US. Gave me a town name and asked whether I was a drivable distance as they were visiting a friend for 2 weeks and thought they would collect all their European wins at the same time. I queried the town as I'd never heard of it, and it turned out to be in Spain.
The buyer had no idea that London and a small town in Spain were different countries- she just thought we were states and part of 'Europe'.
And don't get me started about the dollar/euro/sterling fiasco. I've had countless arguments over the years about how they don't understand what sterling/UK currency is .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Soolin, just out of curiosity, it wasn't an American geography teacher by chance?I had that once from a teacher in the US. I don't think so, but then of course there was a fairly big highlighted report about how something like 90% of US geography teachers had never owned a passport and about 50% had never left the State in which they were born.
Reminds me of an often repeated 'Pointless' episode in the UK where a UK teacher asked to name a US State with a sea coast named 'Mexico' and was surprised he was wrong.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The US doesn't specifically have 'Geography', apparently, at least as a school subject - my sister is a geography teacher and moved out to the States with her husband, who is working out there. She said most of what we consider 'Geography' is parcelled out between a number of different subjects and taught in quite a number of different ways. So there may not even be any such thing as a 'geography' teacher to compare like for like.
The US is large and varied as it is, states are like small countries and people don't necessarily need to go abroad to go on holiday like we might. My boyfriend has never had a passport, never left this country and he's 37. However, I would not call him stupid or uneducated; he's a very intelligent amateur cricket historian and only missed out on university through a combination of factors, including family financial hardship. (I intend to take him to Eastern Europe next spring, though.)
I'm not sure I would pass judgement on similarly qualified Americans. There are too many ways in which we Brits are also quite insular people, particularly when it comes to learning languages."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Back on topic: it's not just the buyer's opinion, though. It's irrelevant to the transaction at hand - I would think CS would look kinder on removing it than on a neutral for non-receipt."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I will give them a try later.
It seems its going to be one of those days today. Now got someone from Norway saying item not received yet. It was posted out on Monday of this week!0 -
As I thought.
They won't remove it and I am to contact the buyer direct to ask if they will remove it or it stays.0
