With this return to large back-to-back monthly house price RISES now is the time to swallow your pride and delusions and finally grow a pair and buy, or forever rent payin off someone else's mortgage for them. End your renting misery, quit putting your life on hold, and get on with enjoying life and the simple pleasures of home ownership.

The strange thing is the "bulls" on this forum are constantly referencing it, but the "bears" don't seem to give a crap about it.
It always gets mentioned when there is a thread about house prices going up. The process seems to be:
1 - Link to positive HPI news gets posted here.
2 - Lots of :T /  / :j emoticons get posted.
3 - Someone mentions hpc and uses this - :rotfl:
4 - A brand new user signs up with a name like ILoveHouses and posts on the board which would have previously been invisible to them (as it's hidden unless you are a MSE member).
5 - People try and guess who they are.
6 - Someone calls for Brit1234 to update their signature.
7 - Thread descends into name calling.

Is the regional bit out yet?
Just curious if this is another 'posh London' + 17%, rest flat situation.0 -

Boy am I glad I have a small portfolio of BTL to offset the failing pension pot I have paid into these last 30 years.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Excellent news.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Halifax, Land Registry, Rightmove, Zoopla, Mouseprice, etc etc all postive, with the honourable exception of the Nationwide which showed a one off miniscule dip.
Looks like I may have to start adding the change in inidices to my siggy now.0 -
