"So gutted i've missed the 32gb again. I'm after it as a christmas prezzy for my hubby and i always seem to be 10 mins late."

Xmas time probably means the iPad mini will be many times better and cheaper.
Wait till November + so you can choose wisely, rather than risking having last years toys.

it's crazy - husband went into Apple store today as he has very small crack on corner of glass & it'll cost £200 to replace - I must send him this link as for not much more money he'll get a year's guarantee also.

It depends what you normally do on your laptop. If its for some basic browsing, skype or visiting this forum, Ipad should be good.

What you dont get with an Ipad is a detached keyboard and tons an tons of memory.

it will do (the Ipad) 80% of your daily needs of mobile computing, like emails, web browsing, video, music, light editing of photos and Movies, Light productivity, reading Mags and books and newspapers. Video cchat (skype or facetime)

and it will do all the above mentioned in more fun and intimate way.

    hope that helps

Just like to add iv had mine nearly a week now and iv only used my laptop to type some college work (majority of which I did on the iPad) and to sync some music to the iPad. I'd recommend getting one.
Any views are my own and may not always be correct - though i do try :o
