hi all
the problem is i have made a online portal for a company, its first page is a login page, i made the program they refused to pay me to chase this through the courts, i need the web address so i can prove they still use it, i am definate 100% they need the program and know they have coppied it to another web address, i consider myself a bit of a teckie but this is way above me, all i have tried i just hit a brick wall,
The program is on 1and1 servers but 1and1 support and legal have gave me no help at all saying i need the web address before they will investigate. any advice or point to someone who can help would be much appreciated.

Worth a shot? It does look as if you need to be hosting the original content yourself though. If you don't currently have it hosted, stick it up on one of the free hosts until you've tried it.0 -
use the wayback machine to prove they used it im guessing you have copyright notices in the files. You just have to prove they used it, just like another intellectual right holder needs to prove somebody downloaded a song not that they ever listened to it or still listen to it today0

Actually, can you not simply google the company name and see what a site search on google throws up? Or is this an intranet page you developed for them? Because that won't show up on a web search.
Your post is a little confusing as it talks about a 'program' you developed so I don't know if this is a CMS application you've built from the ground up or just a PHP script. If the former, you may have problems searching web indices for it.0 -
Assuming you know the naming conventions used for images etc, you could use Google to search for the image name (assuming it's been indexed).
Obviously if it's a simple name like 'bg.png' or 'logo.jpg' your unlikely to find anything in the mass of results, but if you stick to unique naming conventions i.e. 'block_home_top.png' it might be easier to find?0 -
Image search, search for any particular phrases or text?0

Blimey. Just realised OP took over 4.5 years to make his first post, so it could be a while before he sees this!0

Perhaps he posted when he joined, but his connection's a bit slow. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.
