  • My experience with Roamline is as such - on 3/06/13 ordered a Nino sim for my ipad mini, paid (19.24 euros) which was taken from my mastercard on 4/06/13. They promise to send the sim the same day and it takes 2-3 days to reach the UK.
Waited a week as nothing arrived. Started to write to them as my holiday was fast approaching and I wanted to have it before I go.
So far I sent 4 messages (there is no address, one can leave a message to contact them on their website) and did not receive a reply although they promise to reply within 24 hours.
This is probably the worst ever experience I had.

I purchase in January, receive quickly and activated no problem. Did not use till May and had no problems using it for messaging in an iphone 3g with Whatsapp, just what I wanted. Only problem was the free 25Mb I got with the deal was not added to my account so they raised an invoice, as my credit card had changed (fortunately) invoice was not paid and the account suspended. Now 30 days later problem is not fixed an Roamline support seems very poor. Glad this is emergency use only as the service does not seem very good if a problem happens. When it works it is great. 30 days to fix what should be a simple problem is not acceptable.
  • The headline price to buy the card shows 19.95 Euros crossed out and 9.95 in its place. However, click through and it then says the SIM is 15.95 plus VAT, carry on to order and it shows 3.35 Euros VAT..... making the card 19.30 Euros

If just buying the card is so confusing, imagine the billing........

The advertised price is €15.95+VAT, and when you go through the ordering process, it adds Dutch 21% VAT of €3.35. Prices have to include VAT throughout the EU, so they are breaking a Dutch law here. The only purpose of excluding VAT from an advertised price is to give a misleading indication of price.

In any case, with charges of between €390 and €890 per gigabyte, it's poor value for money, and only just falls short of the EU roaming price caps.
