Does anyone know if global test market is going to allow us to redeem points in any way other than personal cheque in the future? I don't have a bank account and was hoping to have cheque go to OH account but they won't let me. I wondered with the 'interesting new developments' that they prattled on about in their email if vouchers might be available soon.
Would email them about it but got a very abrupt email from them about my enquiry regarding payment to OH. :(

  • Cheerfulness4... sorry, no idea about the new changes, but vouchers would be a lot easier! I have the same problem, bank account in OH name, but when I signed up to Global Test Market, I did it in his name, so the cheque would automatically be payable to him. Can you change the name the account is in? Just cashed in 1000 pts at the beginning of July and cheque arrived two days ago... £24.09... expected a bit more, but better than nothing!
    Cheers,
    Kerri :D

Thanks for reply JerseyGirl but it seems that its a no go changing the account name either. It might have just been the language translation but they were not exactly helpful. They said that they would 'absolutely' only send the cheque in my name and that I will have to just add my name to my husbands bank account "aka - get a joint account". Thought that rather patronising, like I didn't know what a joint account meant. No doubt some snotty nosed little 12 year old behind the email.

Just reached the 1000 points after nearly a year, too. Well shall just have to get an account I suppose.

Cheerfulness, you can alays just open a simple account with no overdraft facilities or anything. Check out the banks board on this forum, for good deals etc.
  • Thanks mrsyorkie, I shall have to do that. It's silly to get so nervous about opening an account; for years I haven't bothered as I just shared OH's. I just feel a bit embarassed that I wouldn't really have anything to put in the account very often. Can't think that they would regard me as a worthwhile customer. :o

Why don't you open a savings account? That's where I put cheques like this so they don't get swallowed up into paying the boring bills with them. There are lots accounts where you can pay in via the Post Office, that way they won't worry about how often you pay in! :)
  • There always seems to be a few surveys that require "access codes"

how do i get one of these codes?

    Cheers

sorry, p-larkin, but I can't help you there. I've never been asked for an access code, I just click on the 'survey' button. Do you enter the survey via the button or the survey address link underneath? Not sure if that makes a difference to you having to key the code in manually.

Chocmonster7 - a savings account sounds ideal. It woul help me save for the extra things we need. A good idea, thanks. :D

you know in the survey activity section (which is from the my profiles area) there are a list of like 20 or 30 surveys...some of these say "not started" so when i click on them i get a page that restricts me doing the survey- requiring me to enter "your account number" and "password"

Goodness, I didn't even know about that section, I rarely go onto their website, I just access the surveys when they send me email invites and click on the links within the mailing. Shall have to go have a gander.
