The miserable harvest is finally getting going
Made gorgeous garden pesto from nasturtiums, elderberry cordial (our favourite) and a years supply of blackberry and apple jam.

No fruit of any type survived here , an odd miserable looking apple , no plums, sloes ...roll on next year

unless the roots are dug out or poisoned it will soon be back. Obviously she didn't use it so it was a nuisance for her - why don't you plant one yourself to be sure of the benefits?

Hi, apologies for bumping but this is the most recent foraging chatter I could find! Given our long-lingering winter () I'm wondering if anyone has advice on when to start looking for ramsons? Obviously this time last year it was plentiful! It's a bit of a mission/trek for me to go out foraging with little ones in tow so I don't want to go until I know my trip will have a good yield IYSWIM.

thanks (and tips for what else to look for this time of year besides ramsons and nettle).

Ransoms should be out now, we have them in our garden and they're just coming into flower (NW of Manchester)
You can do a lot of things with dandelions which are out in abundance at the moment, add to salad, make flavoured oil, make wine or even a type of coffee.
    Lots of ways via Google.
