AA Rude operator

My AA renewal arrived through my door on sat and on opening it I was surprised to find that they had started charging me an extra £4 a month just because im not a new customer.
So after calling them they changed it as " good will gesture"

Roll on another day and im busy looking for European breakdown
so rang around a few places and Asda came up alot cheaper including uk breakdown.
I called the AA to cancel my membership when it runs out in the middle of Aug and have never met a ruder member af staff.

On asking to cancel he asked did i know who asda use in the uk and if the AA were busy could i imagine what asda would be like and ontop of that was I ware that Asda would charge me labour to fix my car at the roadside.

When I politely told him that was all well and good but Asda was cheaper than AA by alot he put me on hold for a good 5mins.
When he return he stated abrupptly that he had cancelled my membership. I asked if that was in Aug he said correct THEN HUNG UP!!!!
I was annoyed before as i felt like i was getting wrong for even dreaming of leaving the AA but hanging up is too far.

RANT OVER !!!

So they were rude because they informed you of the difference between their product and a cheaper one. He then had the audacity to put you on hold and actually cancel you membership as you had asked. Then the ultimate in rude acts he confirmed the month of the cancellation with you.

Good god some people eh. Sat there on the phones doing their job it shouldn't be allowed.

Pretty appalling customer service. Sure he did what you asked but not need to be rude! As if that's gonna get you coming back...

Have you got any evidence for this rather wild assertion?

Or do you just like to make random posts belittling people on the basis of some odd personal belief?

    Spot on.
The only reason that melbell appears to have posted recently is to belittle others or post incorrect advice (such as telling one poster that they are entitled to nothing when their holiday booking was changed at they ended up at a different location to the one they booked, and the new accomodation had none of the facilities they were expecting).
