Good luck Defender of The Weak in your court case. Service in this country is extremely poor and mistakes ignored. I have lived in the USA and so the levels of service here really do stand out from the USA where people will politely protest and complain. As for litigation we are overtaking the USA in that departmnent. Most of the people commenting here are the type who will just let other walk all over them becasue that is what they are used to and don't have the back bone to stand up and protest.

I must say, I object to the OP in this thread because he is making a big deal out of not very much. Other people have posted on this board about far more serious issues with airlines: and about other problems that are far more serious than these concerns. And so far as I am concerned, the main benefit of flying WT plus rather than basic economy is that you get a bigger seat and half-adequate leg-room. There is no suggestion that the OP did not receive this.

BA will have to drop the 'fast' from 'fast bag drop' very soon, becuase it rareley is.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • With 80 self-service check-in machines but only a handful of traditional desks planned for T5, I suspect it'll only be the definition of "fast" that will change :D

With 100 million passengers per year planned for LHR when T5 opens next year something will have to work fast.
  • A brief update.

I continued to pursue BA for some time before eventually putting the matter in the court over Xmas. Got an instant response denying everything again but they did offer 600 in vouchers and the court costs returned. Obviously have got to use them with BA but will treat the eventual trip the same as an easyjet or ryanair flight and expect nothing more than basic service.

Thanks to all contributors. Bottom line is that if you feel unhappy about the service you receive you should pursue the matter.
