    Well, I won't get into any advertising but I have booked with Avis who will deliver and collect. I was going to have the car for 5 days but it is the same price for a week! Class b car, Corsa? Only £104.40! Looks like a good deal to me.

    yeah hire car prices are like air plane prices, they vary a lot. It's not uncommon to pay half of your total cost on just the weekend on a 7 day rental for instance.

    I actually didn't say I hire them for fun, I said they're so cheap for short term rentals that you COULD do that.

    As it happens I have never rented from zipcar, I used europcar once and ended up paying £600 excess on a minor bump that would not have costed that much to fix.
