I've noticed that when you look at people's feedback the items they have purchased stand out far more than the feedback comments. Surely that's not the object of the new system?

Wouldn't it have been a good idea to put the feedback comments in bold?

    I have 5,5,5 and 4.5 too.

Me too and looking around I would say the majority of sellers are the same.

I think the P&P rating is going to be a major problem. Mine is 4.5 despite posting everything at not much above the actual postage costs. Some buyers seem to think if you charge more than the stamp its unreasonable (ignoring packing, envelope etc), so its unlikely many will have a 5 star rating for this for very long.

I'm hoping it's just my arsey, pre-menstral, streaming cold, tired out, rat bag mood... but this p&p thing is really bugging me !! Nearly all of my feedback includes comments about how amazingly quick dispatch and delivery was, I know that I very rarely charge more than the price of the stamps and on the very rare occassions that I do by mistake this has only been 50p more or so. No charge for packaging or petrol/parking either ! But STILL someone has knocked me down !! I know it's someone in the last 10 ratings too !!! Ooooo, the little !!!!!!s !!!!!

You might be arsey, pre-menstral etc (won't mention your moniker) but you made me smile, thanks!

As a buyer, I'd find it much more useful if quality of packaging was listed, rather than postage, which you can sort of rate yourself before you buy.

I'm perfectly happy with re-used jiffybags, but I've just had a bottle of perfume (a tester in a thin box) arrive in an ordinary envelope, without bubblewrap or tissue. As it happens, it got here intact, but goodness knows how!

I left some feedback today and 4 stars for p&p is classed as 'reasonable' & 5 stars is classed as 'very reasonable'.

I really don't think it matters if you lose a star on this bit as 4 stars is classed as reasonable so thats ok! ;)

    YAY!! :j

    I now have 5, 5, 5 but still 4.5 for 39 votes - hopefully my p&p will go 2 5 stars soon lol!

I had a feedback left for excessive postage recently. Actual postage cost £5.42, charge to buyer £5.50! So I don't think it's sellers costs necessarily, just the fact that they don't like Royal Mail charges!

Ebaying on ice - 5.0, 5.0, 5.0, 5.0, 4.5. Perhaps my arms weren't in a straight enough position when packing.
