hope the roof is ok and cheap to fix...savings sounds great...keep up the good work

Roof was free to fix :) i think i mentioned before we have a tin roof, it was just where 2 sheets joined the seal had went, then someone we know who manucaters silicon and adesives gave us 4 tubs to sort it was was completely free :)

I'm very happy with my savings but i also think my spendings went abit ott i have no idea where the deposits for the pups have went because we got them in cash and i've been spending it. so from now on i'm not taking money out with me unless i plan to buy things.

On that note i spent £19.47 in tesco today i got the 3 for 2 cheese (we but the 95p edam and cut in 2 so it does 12 sandwichs) and the 3 for 2 cheese, half price flora, half price pork shoulder and some tins and crisps for the kids birthday dinner.

I've downloaded a spending tracker onto my ipad it's like a spending dairy but in digital form, inputting everything helped me show where all my moneys gone this week, most of it's been wasted but it's done now.

I'm panicing abit because i bought next vouxhers to buy the kids hoodies for there birthday it shoudl have saved me £10 but there not here yet and i need to buy them by tomorrow at the lastest, but it also means i now need to do a special trip so i won't be saving as much :(

Kids have £20 of birthday money each already, they don't need anything and will end up with loads of toys at there party so i popped it in an envelope and put it away it can go towards any clothes they may need last in the year. In the new year i will be putting £300 into an envelope for xmas anything bought for xmas will come out of that money that way i can keep track, i've doubled up on pressies for people because i've stashed them away and forgotten so next year i will prob still be using this years pressies up :o I WILL NOT GO TO THE BOOTS SALE- well not unyill they have there really cheap wrapping paper even then i will only buy wrapping paper :)

Thanks i don't think i'll do much shopping next year i thik i'll have lots left over from this year, and the kids are that age where there into things go i'll wait until closer to xmas and see what they'd like.

I have loads of food in now so i'm gonna go back to trying to only buy milk, eggs, bread, fruit and veg til after xmas, other than the kids party ofcourse :) next month i'll be setting myself a buget of £50 plus £50 for xmas week and i'll take it out i cash once it's gone it's gone.

I was going to do an envelope in the new year for clothes aswell but i decided against that really we buy teh bare minium now anyway, the kids get stuff with birthday/xmas money and i will keep that to one side in an envelope and we get a uniform allowance which will all be used for uniform ofcourse so i don't like having a budget for it would cut it much.

Slight unexpected spend of £41.57 on a nebuliser for the child, he's been bad for a few days and he was up all last night so i took him first thing before he got worse, i keep asking about a nebuliser for at home and they keep saying no as he goes downhill so quick there scared i'll leave it too late to bring him in. but today they agreed with me i needed one but they only loan them out and they didn't have any so he said i'd have to buy one so i did i got him a nice childish one (altho i'm sure it can be used for adults aswell it's just a nice colour and character)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Omron-CompAir-Compressor-Nebuliser-Childrens/dp/B006MG4CIM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353506737&sr=8-2

By the time it arrives he'll prob be better but it will be good to have.

Also spent £15 on desil and i'm hoping my vouchers will arrive so i can go shopping tonight for the kids jumpers for tomorrow, if not they will only have 2 pressies to open :( and one is sweets so i'll look well tight.

Need to go get party food tomorrow morning aswell for tomorrow night.

I just want to sleep ZZZzzzzzzzz

Anyone have any suggestions for using up ham (as in the cheaper shop bought type?) so far i'm thinking pie filling or quiche but either sound that nice to me.

Found some bacon out of date today in my fridge so i chnaged my meal plan abit were having chicken and bacon casarole tonight (we used to have this all the time when we were poor i'd get the cheapest iceland stuff, it would be half a bag of sliced cook from frozen chicken, half a packet of cheap £1 bacon and 1/3 of a bag of frozen peppers and an onion) used the 2 chicken breasts we had (about 75p each) the bacon 97p, some reduced carrots from the fridge 5p, some reduced celery 5p , reduced mushrooms 5p some frozen value peas and sweetcorn 20p all thrown in the slowcooker, will be more than enough for another meal next week, all for £2.82 :) will serve with mash and about 1/4 of the huge cabbage i got off the market.

Spending tool on my ipad is great, spending on the other hand is not lol. i've decided i'll use it and update you all once a week. So think week i stand at -£525.16 because hubby wasn't paid, i bought 2 bikes, paid my phone bill and had a birthday party that also includes the £268 added to the savings, and i filled my car up.

Plan for this week is to only spend the £12.20 in my purse and nothing else, so it's make do week, we have no fruit in or else i'd try for a nsd week.

£233 will be added to the savings tomorrow and the meal plans been done a few posts up, it may change depending on what i have in.

    Plan for this week

    -go to skip
    -go to cash for clothes
-collect free only 3 month old clarks shoes i got from a facebook page
    -check for surverys everyday
    - go to farm shop and buy there 10 for £1 apples (2 bags should be anought we have lots of tinned fruit and the older 2 get fruit in school, they will also have veg with dinner) and 50p brocolli if it's a good size get 3lb of carrots for £1, have a nosey about and see what other good deals they have on right now)
    - go to asda and only buy squash, razor's and beans
=go to lidl and only buy bread and milk on fri
    - take ds3 to the libary on fri morning
    - cook and freeze some extra yorkshires and roasties on monday so that when i make the rest of my pork shoulder next week i won't need the oven on (will warm in the bottom of the grill when i brown my brocolli cheese)
    - get on top of all the washing and ironing, incase the outside pipes freezer (should be ok but can never be too safe)
-sort out cupboards into storage boxes
-clear out my bedroom it looks like a bombs hit it
-clear out hotpress/clockroom/storage room and rearrange it so i can acually get in
    - get xmas pressies down over the weekend to see what i acually have and start wrapping
-use decorations i already have and a free tree from mil
    -clean out my car
    - DON'T EAT OUT
    -DON'T SPEND A SINGLE PENNY I DON'T HAVE TO

    hmm busy week :)

    Midweek update :)

Getting threw my list well, been rejected for quite a few surveys but even still gotta be in it to win it.

Still have £6.22 in my purse and have all my meals/spends planned until friday when i will get 2 loaves of bread at 75p each and 2 litres of milk.

Meal plan has went out the window but we're still eating what we have in so it's ok.

I'm going out with friends on saturday so i am expecting a few spends but i'll be careful and make my drinks last.

Got on top of the washing really well, only one more load to dry and half a load left (i'll get todays and tomorrows uniforms to fill it up) ironings all up to date just needs put away.

Plan for today is the rest of my bedroom it's about half way there, and possibly the kitchen cupboards if i get a chance.

Going to cash for clothes on friday as i'll be in town anyway, anything i get will be next weeks spends, i'll need quite abit next week, like spuds, veg, fruit, milk, eggs and yogurts, so i'm hoping for about £15 as it's a bag full of jeans and a bag of jumpers so heavy items and they pay on weight.

I'll be back to update you all on monday when i add to my savings.

Err i have no update for today because, 1 my lovely son has locked me out of my online banking, and 2 my lovely hubby was trying to fix my baterry in my ipad and deleted me spending app so i have no idea what i spent last week so starting dec fresh :)

Went out on sat and spend £55 hubby also spend about £15, then we went yesterday and returned some puppy flea treatment to the pet shop but replaced it with some food to give to the new owners, this cost us just under £40 as we feed good food, the idea was some oif the pups are going on xmas eve and it means they have the food there used to over xmas til the new owners get shopping.

Went to tesco yesterday and spend £6.87 this included about 5 montsh worth of female products which are on 3 for 2, a box of cornflakes and 2 rice puddings for the food bank that are collecting in tesco, and 3 packets of 6 breakfast muffins reduced to 20p, 4 wheaten bread reduced to 25p, a loaf of brown bread reduced to 20p 2 of those half size kingsmill loaves for 19p each, a box of cornflakes for my house and a pot of value jam (to put on the wheaten bread).

I'm still living off the change in my purse this week i had quite abit so i did up the kids dinner moneys in envelopes til the end of the month and now i'm left with £5.05 i will spend this 2 bottles of milk some fruit and eggs later in the week.

I should have £233 in my savings today but i can't check.

No meal plan this week as i'm trying to clear my inside freezer to defrost it (the door was left open slightly everythings still frozen but it's covered in ice so i don't fancy digging threw, it will be a case of whatever i pull out will become dinner, today i have 2 pots of chicken casarole which i will serve with some roasties and veg also hiding in the freezer, i pulled out some mini scotch eggs and some cocktail sausages rolls which will become lunch with some homemade cabbage.

To do list for this week
-go to cash for clothes (havent been yet i'm waiting on hubby sorting out his jumpers)
-take ds to the libary on fri as it's free
-gut my room out (didn't happen last week)
-get xmas tree off inlaws and decorate it
-get pressies down and start wrapping
-get hubby to build kids bikes to make sure there all there
    -DON'T SPEND A SINGLE PENNY I DON'T HAVE TO
    -DON'T EAT OUT
