Someone was up early, and it wasn't me lol.
With it being a bank hol i got some money early so have sent abit to the savings, i now have £1,200.69, i still have £233 going on on tue even tho the moneys sitting there for that aswell but i can't cancel that standing order in time so it's a waiting game, in theory i have £1430.69. hubby is due to be paid today aswell so that should be another £80, fingers crossed on tue i'm posting i'm halfway to £2k.
Sounds awful but my kids were really happy to see a weel stocked fruit bowl, i've just been buying the minium to get by and i've found that apples and soft fruits have got really expense (i still think that the apples i bought last night were nearly £3, all the soft fruit was on offer at £1 a punnet) so they've been limited to bananas and oranges.Kids are back to school next thur so i can start nipping to the friday market they do 7-8 apples for £1, value apples have got really small aswell.
Screened out of pretty much every survey lately
Yummy steak for dinner

I can't stay awake at night so go to bed early but by 5am I'm waking up so I get up early. Then because I get up so early the cycle starts again and I'm in bed by 10am. Its really annoying! Perhaps its preparing me for having a newborn?!
I've been screened out of nearly all of 1poll lately and then ocassionally get a really good day. I try to stick to reviews because it is guaranteed pennies at the end of the time you spend writing.
Agree with you about the fruit - I've been wanting plums but they are so expensive in the supermarket and they don't even look that nice. Aldi fruit and veg is the best value and the best tasting...I just don't shop there very often sadly.0 -
Tesco has plums for £1 there quite nice, still expensive considering you only get about 6 but not as bad as £2.50 a punnet, and there acually ripe, ripe at home fruit annoys me.
Not sure about spends today hoping for a lazy day, i'm just making bacon sandwichs with some 26p bacon down from £2.49 and some value part baked roll, with real butter and down sauce
kids had a whole punnet of blueberries and some toast. DEC GC £463.67/£450

26p bacon sounds excellent, I thought my 80p bargain was good

Thanks for the tip on the plums

Lol we had some burning the week for dinner that was 17p
and i think i have another packet in the freezer around 25p odd aswell
i really should do more whoopsie shopping i've let it slack alot lately, i could easily half my grocery budget.
It was yummy btw and to think i was tempted to go to the chippy for sodas at £2.30 each, i made us lovely rolls for less than 75p.DEC GC £463.67/£450

That is a super saving on the rolls

I'm not whoopsy shopping for a couple of weeks but it definitely does help. I got loads of ready meals which had 2 chicken breasts in from Morrie's a couple of weeks ago, 99p each instead of £3.50 (never buy full price!!) - you can't even buy the meat for that never mind make it into a meal. I prefer home cooked food but these were literally a good chunk of meat and a bit of sauce. I have done really well with groceries lately - the freezer/cupboard challenge thread really helps!0 -
I'm feeling oh so sorry for myself, think i'm getting the flu,now to be fair i once had proper flu so i never say oh i've got the flu for a minor cold but wow i'm feeling ill and sore
, we had lunchout at burgerking, mainly because everytime i stand i feel like i'm gonna throw up, Can't wait for the kids to go to bed to i can lie down.
Moneysaving is well and truely out the window til i feel better
I love whoopsie shopping to be fair i don't 'need' to do it we can manage fine on our normal groceries budget but we get to have fancier food and save abit more.
I will lift some chicken breasts out tonight for tomorrow so we don't eat again, but theres a good chance it will be thrown in the oven and served with chips or something just as quick and easy. I havent even done a meal plan for this week
